Keeping it Local

The whole ethos of the day is to be as local and sustainable as possible (as much as is feasibly possible with a wedding!).

You will have noticed that the invitation cards are on wildflower seed paper, on the back of which are planting instructions. We would love for you to plant these after the day rather than throw them in the bin.

We have aimed to source all the food for the day as locally as possible. For example the meat is from the Lowther Estate, which surrounds both the church where we are getting married and the barn where the reception is being held.

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by March 15th

What time should I book my taxi for?

The band and main festivities will finish up at 12 30 am, for those who wish to continue to celebrate with us we have booked a DJ who will play until 2 am.

Is there a gifts registry?

We have a gift list at the wedding present company:
www.weddingpresentco.com/find-list/117763/

What will the weather be like?

April in Cumbria can either be summer or winter...

We suggest checking the weather forecast and to bring layers. The reception is in a barn that will be heated but it isn't a 5 star hotel.

Should I wear a hat?

The bigger, the brighter, the better!

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Pete will be donning his wedges and leaving his stilettoes at home, so we suggest you follow suit.
The church is up a hill and the reception is in a cow barn

Where should I park?

Look out for signs and ushers pointing you in the right direction on the day.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Please email them to emandpete23@gmail.com

Are kids welcome?

We are still enjoying our child free years so have arranged a list of local babysitters to give you a night off, please drop one of us a message if you would like this.

I have a question on the day, who should I call?

Jim Bliss - 07765314260
