Story

Emily and Peter met their freshman year at University of Michigan. They were both assigned to a dorm on the dreaded North Campus. Peter's roommate happened to be Emily's good friend from high school and it wasn't long until Peter and Emily met and started becoming friends.

Throughout their first semester Emily and Peter became better friends and started spending more and more time together -- dinner at the Bursley cafeteria, navigating the trek from North Campus to the Big House for football games or late night study sessions at the "Dude" as Emily helped Peter through Calculus. After winter break Peter decided it was time to step things up and asked Emily to go out with him on a 'real date' -- on Valentine's Day nonetheless. Emily wasn't too sure (and really hated the idea of a cliché Valentine's Day date) but finally agreed to go. Much to her surprise Peter made a reservation at Real Seafood Company on Main Street and showed up with flowers -- Emily knew they officially left the 'friend-zone'!

Throughout and following college Peter and Emily continued to date. After graduation Peter -- the LA guy --even took a job in Chicago to stay in the Midwest. On a holiday trip to Copenhagen Peter proposed to Emily and she of course said yes!
