Message from the Couple
Dear Friends and Family,
After 10 years…the ‘Hitching’ is happening. This has been an amazing adventure and you are and have been an essential part of our journey to get to this point. We are honoured to invite you to celebrate our wedding at the Chateau Fengari in Clérac, France, on Wednesday 31 August 2022. We have created a wedding website where you will find the invitation and RSVP, timings, accommodation options and responses to other questions relating to the wedding. The ceremony will take place at the Church of Clerac on Wednesday 31 August 2022 with a reception following at Chateau Fengari.
We have sole use of the Chateau for 3 nights / 4 days from 30 August through to 2 September 2022 – whilst the limited number of bedrooms mean that only immediate family and members of the bride and grooms party will be staying there overnight, we have researched a number of accommodation options which are in a 20 minute radius of the Chateau. More information on accommodation can be found on the wedding website, but also feel free to make a holiday of it and book elsewhere if preferable.
Despite this, the Chateau has a swimming pool, lake and tennis courts. We would be delighted if you would join us on the Tuesday to enjoy a hog roast the night before the wedding as well as a brunch on Thursday, following the wedding. Further details on the exact schedule can be found on the wedding website and below, but by all means also take time to enjoy the region and visit the hundreds of vineyards and wine tasting options available if you wish.
The dates for those planning to join us for the entire event are as follows:
· 30 August 2022 - arrive in Bordeaux and travel to chosen accommodation in or around Clérac. Join us for a dinner at Chateau Fengari
· 31 August 2022 – day of the wedding
· 1 September 2022 – join us for rest, relaxation and a brunch at the Chateau
· 2 September 2022 – depart home / elsewhere
We are also making sure that there are plenty of taxis available for guests during those 3 days to come to and from the venue from the various accommodations so people can ‘picole’ in tranquillity.
