Aqil & Erica's Journey

Erica and Aqil's friendship dates back to their teen years. Laughter has always been shared between the two but who knew they'd someday come full circle to share a life of love and laughter. In their earlier days, Aqil always assumed the role of a protector over Erica, not allowing any harm to come her way. A quality Erica still admires in Aqil to this day.

Looking back, Aqil remembers that it was always Erica's smile for him. An infectious smile that still warms his heart daily. Erica, on the other hand, remembers that it was Aqil's loyalty, presence, and strong sense of self that she admired. Then and now, she viewed Aqil as a man with vision and always on a mission to capture his dreams.

A number of years past when the two were not in contact. As chance would have it, the two happened upon one another at a party of a mutual friend. The conversation that ensued in getting reacquainted sparked the beginning of their current journey of forever.

A vow to commit to one another began the day their two heart & souls pledged to rock with one another. He being her rock and she his. They've been inseparable every since.

The bride and groom currently have one hotel block with New York - New York Hotel under the block name: 'Erica and Aqil.' Total cost is $769 for three nights (Thurs - Sunday). To access hotel block with New York - New York hotel you will be required to submit a deposit of $92 + tax and will have the option of choosing 1 King bed or 2 Queen double beds. You can also request connecting rooms. See booking instructions in notes below.

Wedding Ceremony 📷

4:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Please be present for wedding reception which will be held at the Tropicana Hotel Court Yard. The wedding reception is schedule to begin promptly 4:00pm. Reception to follow at the Chandelier Banquet Hall. Transportation will be provided to reception hall and back to three designated hotels for those who need it.

Dress Code

Please dress in formal attire.

Shuttle From Ceremony to Reception

5:25 PM to 5:40 PM

A shuttle bus will be available from wedding ceremony site to reception location and back to designated hotels listed: 1. New York New York, 2. Linx, and 3. Tresure Island.

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids, so please know they are welcome at the Thursday luncheon and Saturday brunch! Please reach out if you have questions!

What will the weather be like?

Welcome to Las Vegas, all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny. During the day, the weather in Las Vegas should be beautiful, averaging 85-90 degrees. Please bring some warm layers for the evening, we don't want anyone freezing their bu...well you get the point. ;)

Where should I park?

There is plenty of free parking at Ceremony site (Tropicana Resort) and Reception location (Chandelier).

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes.

What should I wear?

The Bride and Groom respectfully request that all guess dress to impress in either Green (olive green or close) or cream.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony will outdoors but our reception will be in a reception hall :)

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. There are a bunch of grassy/dirt areas that you might have to walk in so wear chunky heels or sandals. Can't have any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them on our app Joy.
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.
