Story

Tidbits

Who made the first move? How?

Patrick messaged Erin on Hinge after seeing a photo of her at a String Cheese Incident concert in Dillon, CO. He instantly recognized the stage and lights, and knew that we already had a connection through our mutual love of music!

What was your most memorable date?

We quickly discovered that we both love the outdoors and hiking. Since it was peak pandemic, we spent many of our first weekends together in the mountains of North Georgia. The first hike we took together was on the Appalachian Trail up to Unicoi Gap. The fall leaves were changing beautifully, and still to this day it is one of the most memorable hikes we've done together.

What's your favorite activity together?

So many! Going to see live music, hiking, or trying new restaurants. Our perfect weekend would include all three of these things!

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

We hope to explore Greece in Spring of 2024 as an official honeymoon. Right after our wedding, we plan to take a mini-moon exploring some of Colorado's best destinations.

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

Georgia Boy in Atlanta right before we moved to Denver! It was the most creative meal we've shared, and it was shared with some of our closest friends.

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Pacific Northwest! We lived out of a van for 2 weeks, spending time in Seattle, North Cascades National Park, Olympic National Park, Mount Rainier National Park, Portland, Columbia River Gorge, and even spent 3 nights seeing one of our favorite bands–Phish at the Gorge! It was a truly epic vacation. We knew we could be together forever after living in a van and having the best time doing it.

A life goal of ours

To see as much of the world as possible.

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by August 12, 2023, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)

Can I bring a date?

Please check your invite for your to see if we've reserved space for your +1!

Are kids welcome?

Due to capacity limitations we are unable to extend invitations to children outside of the wedding party. We hope you take this as an opportunity to relax and enjoy yourselves! However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids! We can provide information on babysitting services if you cannot find other accommodations for them. Please reach out if you have questions!

What will the weather be like?

Welcome to Estes Park! During the day, the weather in Estes Park should be beautiful, averaging 65-70 degrees, but will get chilly at night. Please bring some warm layers for the evening. Estes Park is also located right outside Rocky Mountain National Park and has an altitude of 7,522 ft. and can be quite dry. Please drink a lot of water and stay hydrated.

Where should I park?

We should be able to accommodate any cars. There is a lot across the street if the parking at the Landing is already full.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes!

What should I wear?

We want you to be comfortable. Cocktail attire is encouraged. If you'd like to match our wedding theme, we invite you to wear fall colors! Think burnt orange, merlot, mustard yellow, dark blue, grey, forest green, beige, deep purples, etc.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour is outdoors, but our reception will be inside.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Attention ladies! Maybe rethink the stiletto heels. The ceremony is on a lawn, so wear chunky heels or sandals. We don't want any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them using our hashtag #HappilyEverHofmann.
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.

Whom should I call with questions?

Please reach out to our planner, Rachael Simmons with any questions at hello@rachaelmarieweddings.com or at ‭(540) 424-4747‬.
