Kirk is a founder of the Emerging 100 of Atlanta, and every year they host their Holiday Soiree and Benefit. Shanice attended the very first soiree in December 2011 at the W Downtown and they met there.

Kirk was working the registration that evening and saw when Shanice walked in the room. She caught his attention through all the noise and had made a note to find her that evening after his shift. Shanice had the same thought. Before Kirk could get to her, she'd already sent her friend across the room to bring him over to her. Can't a blame a girl for going after what she wants!

Most memorable date was our first trip together when we took a 5 hour roadtrip to Destin, FL. The entire trip was pure bliss. We spent a lot of time having fun and getting to know each other. On the way home from the trip, I couldn't resist any longer and asked her to be my girlfriend. -Kirk

We love to ride bicycles on the Beltline in Atlanta. Lol. (Jokes! Shanice hates bicycles but I always make her do it. Ha) -Kirk
