Lasers, smoke, and heavy bass set the scene for the start of a lighthearted love story. But don’t be fooled, this isn’t an average opening act; this is the main event.

George and Bec happened to each be a best friend of a set of siblings, but had only seen each other from a distance at some mutual gatherings. Bec made the mistake of hiring George to play at her party and in a classic DJ move, George tried to rip Bec off... but little did they know the universe was about to ‘turn the tables’ on them both. A mere three months later under the bright Ivy lights, they shared their first kiss and knew that what they had discovered in each other was much more than a one hit wonder.

George signed her exclusively to his label in 2013 on the iconic Bondi beach, kicking off their whirlwind tour for two. They travelled overseas, grew their careers, and always made time for each other, for laughter, and of course the music. The years passed and in true ethnic family fashion, everyone was waiting for the drop... I mean pop. When would George pop the big question?

Just shy of their five year anniversary in the same spot at Bondi, George finally made the drop, to one knee, asking “Bec, will you marry me?”. After an engagement party for the ages, their wedding planning was halted due to the pandemic.
