Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

Where should I park?

There is plenty of free parking on site at the venue for the whole day. The venue is exclusive use so no other wedding parties will be there on the day.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

So long as it's not raining we are planning on having the ceremony outdoors, but if the heavens open we will get married in the barn instead!

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

The majority of the venue will be suitable for any type of footwear, but please bear in mind that there will be a Ceilidh band and DJ in the evening - so you may want something comfortable or perhaps a pair of flats in your car to change into!

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony is at 2PM, so please arrive with at least 20 minutes to park up, get your bearings, greet some family and friends - and grab a seat!

Will last names be changing after the wedding?

Heather intends to remain 'Joy by name and Joy by nature'

Will there be dancing?

Yes! We are having a traditional Scottish Ceilidh band (Triple Scotch) that will play live music complete with the help of a caller who can explain all dances step by step when required: www.youtube.com/watch
The band will be followed by a DJ playing some more modern music for the rest of the evening!
