Story

We first met in person at Venus Rising Espresso House in Butte, I remember being very anxious. As I was approaching the door to meet her, I dropped my mask and had an awkward moment trying to pick it up. I was hoping Heather didn't see my clumsiness. She did, she was right behind me. As we sat and had our coffee, I couldn't help but stare at her incredible smile and blue eyes. In my head I couldn't stop saying, "WOW, what an incredible woman!" -Kevin

The first thing that struck me about Kevin was his sense of humor. Before we met in person, we met online. It was the first day for both of us on the site. The first thing he messaged me was something silly and I remember thinking, "Is this guy for real?". I think we were both nervous about meeting in person, but when we met for coffee, and afterward walked to the Granite Mountain Fire memorial in Butte, I just remember feeling perfectly comfortable. Of course he is cute! But his easy going demeanor set me at ease right from the start. Our senses of humor clicked from the beginning and we have been laughing together ever since. -Heather

Tidbits

How did you first meet?

Something new to both of us was online dating. Something I believe we were very hesitant about. It was both of our first night on the site and we happened to find each other. I was drawn to her smile and the cross she wears around her neck. After about a week of witty banter and tons of laughter we decided to meet in person.

Who's going to take out the trash?

Whoever happens to be closer to the trash :)

What was your most memorable date?

We've had so many memorable dates it's hard to pick just one. However, on one occasion while driving around looking at Christmas lights and drinking hot chocolate, Heather said, "Oh, look a snowman!" I looked all over for a snowman, not realizing she was talking about the Lady of the Rockies on the mountain. I hadn't laughed that hard in a very long time.-Kevin

Looking at Christmas lights was indeed memorable. I was impressed by the time and thought he put into that date. Another one of my favorites was our road trip to Missoula. Once again, Kevin impressed me with the time and thought he put into the day and also with his mellow, easy going way. He was happy to stop along the way for anything I wanted to see. It was this day we realized we are both more interested in the journey than the destination. We love road trips together so much we are going on one for our honeymoon! -Heather

What's your favorite activity together?

Enjoying the outdoors, adventuring together, exploring new things and places.

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

We are going on a road trip adventure to as many National Parks as we can! One highlight will be stopping at the Grand Canyon where Heather's grandparents went on their honeymoon.
