Story
Jacoby and Janna-Marie met the way most couples are meeting these days - online. After messaging for only two days, Jacoby wanted to go on a date. Janna-Marie, on the other hand, wanted to wait a little bit longer and get to know him more before meeting in person. She finally agreed to meet him five days later. Their first date was on Locke Street in Hamilton at The Burnt Tongue.
Most first dates last about one or two hours. Theirs went on for four, and it would've lasted longer if Jacoby hadn't had prior obligations. They both knew at that moment that this was different.
After that day, they spent as much time as possible together. In August 2022, Jacoby left for a three week military training in Kingston. He returned home that first weekend and to Janna-Marie's surprise, proposed to her where they had their second date.
They then celebrated their engagement over brunch at the Ancaster Mill before Jacoby left to return to training.
Since then they've been building their life together and are looking forward to sharing their special day with each of you!
