COVID-19 Wedding Policy (UPDATED 8/2021!)
On the whole, despite the seriousness of the Delta variant and the resurgence of cases in some parts of the country, we are still feeling confident about our ability to have a safe & fun wedding. We are happy to share that over 98% of our guests have been fully vaccinated already! While this does not offer perfect protection against newer variants, the data suggests that the vaccines are still very effective at preventing infection and limiting transmission, and extraordinarily effective at preventing serious disease. Additionally, given that our ceremony will be outdoors, and the reception will be held in a large, airy barn, we’ll have an extra buffer against transmission.
Therefore, we are not requiring our vaccinated guests to wear masks during the event (although you are absolutely welcome to if you feel more comfortable).
For our unvaccinated guests, we ask that you get a PCR test within 72 hours of the wedding (with confirmed negative results prior to arrival), AND wear a mask while indoors during the event. We will have masks available during the event for anyone who needs one, as well as ample hand sanitizing stations.
Regardless of your vaccination status, if you have any symptoms within a week of the wedding, we ask that you get a PCR test with a confirmed negative result prior to arrival.
- If the results of the PCR test will not be returned in time, you can get an additional rapid test as a preliminary result.
- If you are not able to get tested, and your symptoms persist, we ask that you stay home. As much of a bummer as this would be, everyone’s health has to remain our top priority - including your own!
- If you are not able to get tested, but your symptoms have been resolved for 72+ hours, you may still attend, but we ask that you wear a mask while indoors throughout the event.
Regardless of your vaccination status, if you have known close contact with someone who is COVID positive (but you remain personally asymptomatic), we ask that you get either a PCR or rapid test.
- If you are not able to get tested, we ask that you wear a mask while indoors throughout the event.
Please feel free to reach out to us at any time with questions. We are so appreciative of your efforts to keep our wedding a safe environment for all involved, and we can't wait to celebrate with you soon!
