Story
I present to you a light-hearted tale of Alexander John, the Managing Director from Brisbane, and Jeanette Bui, Compliance Protector extraordinaire, from pitch perfect Kangaroo Point, QLD.
Our story unfolds on the pristine beaches of Australia, a land where kangaroos skip on the same sandy beaches that the gulls call home. Born within the lively rhythms of Brisbane, Alex and Jeanette's lives were destined to collide in the most unconventional, and hilarious, ways. Jeanette, born on November 3, a Scorpio with a fierce spirit. True to her zodiac, she embodied the perfect mix of ambition and determination, a characteristic well-praised in her work in compliance. The irony isn't lost on us that she chose a career in compliance, yet when it came to Alex, rules flew right out the window.
As for Alex, he breathed his first Aussie air on November 25. A fiery Sagittarian, born and bred in Brisbane, he steered his life with spontaneity and an unbending will, traits rudimentary for a Managing Director. But even this agile character couldn't anticipate the whirlwind that was about to hit him: our spirited Jeanette. Their meeting wasn't under the moonlit night or among the blooming flowers in a park. Instead, our tale takes a fun twist at a bar where misunderstandings and minglings unexpectedly brewed a funny romance. As the story goes, Jeanette facepalmed Alex's chest. In a bar where the air was thick with tension, Jeanette initiated a truce in a fun gesture. Alex, light-heartedly, responded in kind with an offering far more puckish - wet pussy shots. Laughter filled the air, and the atmosphere suddenly shifted from tense to tickled. It was clear; they met each other's weirdly specific match. Fast forward to the Brisbane City Hall on a sunny day, come August 9, 2024. A day, when the city thrummed with life and the lovebirds were set to tie the knot. A ceremony sparkling under the 1:15 pm sun, with two wonderfully unusual hearts committing to a lifetime of laughter and love - a celebration as vibrant as their start. That, my mate, is the meeting and future of Alex and Jeanette, as one chapter of the good laugh they share. The rest? They continue to unfold it, away from prying eyes, in the cozy corner they've made in Kangaroo Point whilst in Queensland, and Southbank whilst in Victoria.

Can I bring a date?
If you're currently married or in a relationship we would suggest against bringing a date, other than your beloved partner. However if your invitation says "Plus Guest" then please feel free to bring a guest/date.
After all we want to ensure that everyone that attends will have an enjoyable celebration.
Are kids welcome?
Unfortunately at our event we have respectfully requested that this is an Adults Only event.
What should I wear?
Clothing that dresses to impress. Providing it is in accordance with the attire listed on the Invitation.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Both functions over the two days will be Indoors, away from the elements.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Respectfully during the ceremony phones will be banned, however during the reception a QR code and Ray Ban Meta Glasses will be provided for all Photos and Videos to be taken and shared on our wedding site.
Is there a gifts registry?
There is no Gift Registry, however in addition to your wonderful presence we will be most appreciative if you would bless us with your generous monetary donations.
How can I help the couple have the best time during their wedding day?
We are aware that there have been many circumstances where couples have decided to declare their undying love for one another/propose at weddings.
Whilst we acknowledge that this may thrust you into TikTok and Instagram infamy, this action would not be received well by both the Bride and Groom and would be met with instant ejection from our wedding and ultimately our lives.
Are there any colors that guests should avoid wearing?
White/Ivory/Cream/Beige/Champagne for both men and women. Wearing these colours will result in deliberate and permanent additions of red wine.
Gentleman, in the interest of clarity, please feel free to wear a white shirt under your suit of choice (providing it is excluding colours listed above).
Where should I park on the 9th August
Preferably using public transport or alternative means would be our suggestion for this function. However in the event you wish to be responsible, then parking can be found at King George Square Carpark, or the Myer Centre on Queen Street (note there are closing times applicable for both locations, check their websites for more details). There will also be various other car parking facilities nearby as function is in Brisbane City.
Whom should I call with questions?
Jeanette Bui will be the best and only person to contact as Alexander Homewood will be furiously working hard to ensure that the event is fully curated correctly and paid for in full.
