Lil Bit About Us

How did you first meet?

One winter night...I (Courtney) convinced my friend, Krysta, to introduce me to her boyfriend's Australian friend, Jesse (you follow all of that?). Basically, Krysta told me that Jordan had a cute single friend with an accent...and you can't turn that down, right ladies? So I asked Krysta to work on a little introduction.

Jump to the center of hearts colliding, the ever-romantic, ever-lovely: Tupelo. (For those not familiar with the SF staple: it's a dark, dingy dive bar with loud music where you can't hear/talk to anyone.) You know, what romance novels and teenage dreams are made of. Still with me? No? That's ok...read on.

Nothing eventful happened the night we met, thanks to Jesse's "shy nature" (aka slight awkwardness and disinterest in pursuing a friend of his employee). You see, Jesse had just been promoted at work (he smart), which subsequently made him Jordan's boss. Trying not to blur the lines, he avoided me like the plague.

Thankfully, I'm not one to turn down a challenge, so I eventually wore him down enough to make a move...(please proceed to the next question).

Who made the first move? How?

Drum roll...She did. By making sure plenty of drinks were had — aka trying to blur his sense of work boundaries so that he would actually talk to me. And hey, it worked! Perseverance, guys, perseverance.

After a month-long pursuit we were back at the scene of the crime, Tupelo. Where we finally shared a tipsy kiss. And both of us are too stubborn (and don't really remember) to admit who kissed who. So we'll just leave it at that...a love story of the ages!

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

Greece and Croatia. Beaches in Europe...revolutionary, where no honeymooner has gone before!

What's your favorite activity together?

Eating. Or doing something with our dogs. Or eating with our dogs, if we want the all-inclusive package.

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

Oh man, asking us the hard hitting questions! As you can tell from the last question, we take eating very seriously — often planning whole days or nights around food. So there might be too many to count, but any meal that leaves us unbuttoning our pants after is great in our book.

Schedule

Travel

Plane

Getting To SF

We recommend flying into either San Francisco International Airport (SFO) or San Jose International Airport (SJC)! Depending on where you're coming from, SFO might be a little cheaper to fly into, but SJC is closer to Los Gatos.

Car

Getting Down to Los Gatos

There a few ways to get to Los Gatos. We recommend either renting a car (there are a ton of options from the airport) or taking Uber/Lyft. From SFO, Uber/Lyft will most likely cost around $50-60, and from SJC, around $20-30.

Note

Fall is high wedding season in California. Please make your arrangements as soon as possible for the best rates and availability.

Airbnb Rentals

There are also a bunch of Airbnb's in the area, if you'd prefer to rent a house instead. Please note, the shuttle transportation to the venue will only be picking up guests from the Toll House Hotel and Best Western Inn. If you decide to rent an Airbnb, please either Uber to the hotels for transportation or straight to Nestldown. We'd prefer not to have anyone driving themselves as the roads to the venue are windy and we don't want anyone drinking and driving. :)

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by August 15th, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)

Can I bring a date?

Yes, we're allowing +1's for everyone! Please just tell us the name of your date when you RSVP.

Are kids welcome?

We adore your littles, but request you take a night off. Our wedding ceremony and reception will be adults only. However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids, so please know they are welcome at the Friday cocktail reception and Sunday brunch. Let us know if you need help making arrangements for child care!

What will the weather be like?

Welcome to Northern California, all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny. During the day, the weather in Los Gatos should be beautiful, averaging 75-80 degrees, but will get chilly at night. Please bring some warm layers for the evening, we don't want anyone freezing their bu...well you get the point. ;)

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. There are a bunch of grassy/dirt areas that you might have to walk in so wear chunky heels or sandals. Can't have any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes, and we will have a golf cart available for anyone needing assistance getting around the property!

Is there transportation being provided between reception and hotels?

There will be a shuttle bus transporting people to/from the hotels. If you're not staying at the Toll House or Best Western, you'll have to either Uber or get yourself to the hotels for the shuttle.

Registry

Your presence is enough of a present to us! But for those of you who are stubborn, we've put together a wish-list to help you out.
