Useful Information

Note

Public Transport - Asylum Chapel

The nearest station is Queen's Road Peckham (Overground) which is a 12 minute walk. Peckham Rye, Nunhead and New Cross Gate are a 20 minute walk, or a quick uber ride away.

There is some on-street parking available on Asylum Road if you are driving.

Car

Public Transport - The Lordship Pub

We will be hiring a bus to get everyone from Peckham to East Dulwich. The Lordship is 12 minutes from East Dulwich Station, but there are lots of buses heading to Central London, Elephant & Castle (Northern and Bakerloo Line) or Forest Hill. There isn't any parking at the pub and on-street parking is limited due to permits.

If you are from outside London, CityMapper is great at helping you plan your journey and Uber is the best taxi option.

Places to stay

If you need to stay the night, we suggest using AirBnB or Booking.com to find a suitable local option. There are some chain hotels located in Greenwich, Crystal Palace and Lewisham, but Central London is not that far away and full of places to stay.

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by the 15th of September where possible. We completely understand some of you have very tricky schedules - keep us in the loop and we will keep our fingers crossed!

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones we aren't able to bring them to the pub with us! Treat yourselves to a night off.

What should I wear?

This is going to be a very relaxed affair - smart casual is the order of the day! Please do be aware that the chapel could be breezy, so check the weather beforehand and come prepared.

Where should I park?

Public transport or taxis are best for ceremony and reception. There is limited free parking is available on Asylum road, and most roads in East Dulwich are reserved for resident permit holders. We have a bus to get us from ceremony to reception, let us know if you'd like a seat.

What's the food situation?

The good folk at The Lordship Pub are laying on a buffet feast. This should be served around 8pm.

What about wedding presents?

No need for that thanks - your presence is plenty!

Confetti?

Yes! But we are only allowed to throw dried petals.

What's the COVID situation?

Who knows. If we need to adapt, we will find a way and update accordingly.

Whom should I call with questions?

Us, give us a call any time.
