Calling All Campers
Ready to let your inner kid out? Because we’re tying the knot at summer camp. Come celebrate with us from Sept 23 - 25, 2022. Hope to see you at the lake!
Important Details
Getting to Camp Timberlane
Need a ride? Most of our guests will be travelling from either the GTA or Sudbury, so if you'd like to hitch a ride with someone, please let us know and we'll try to help accommodate.
Flights or Airport Suggestions
For those of you coming from overseas we recommend flying into Toronto Pearson Airport. Then from there, Camp Timberlane is roughly a 2 hour and 45 minute drive.
Feel free to reach out to us and we can discuss travel details further or discuss bringing Jaffa Cakes or Tim Tams for Jon.
The Nitty-Gritty
Cost for the weekend $200/adult, $150/child ages 6-12 and children under 5 free.
This includes:
- 2 nights accommodation in cozy cabins with way more than just 5 Stars.
- All your food (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch, Sunday Brunch). Plus, dinner and drinks on us during the wedding celebrations.
- Access to all of kinds of camp activities that'll bring your inner kid out (tug of war, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, volleyball, basketball, and so much more.)
When you complete your RSVP, please e-transfer the funds to: jjcamptimberlane@gmail.com
We understand that an e-transfer might not be possible for everyone. Please reach out to us and we can discuss other options. Also, if for any reason your plans change and you can no longer attend we will ensure that your money is refunded.
Accommodation
We're so excited to give everyone an authentic summer camp experience! Everyone will be assigned to either a group cabin (several bunk beds in one room) or a private cabin (a mixture of bunk beds, single beds, and double beds in a private room).
All cabins have their own washroom inside (sink + toilet), and most include a shower. There are also separate shower cabins onsite, so plenty of space to get cleaned up and ready on Saturday.
And, let's just call a spade a spade: if you're a friend or cousin of ours, chances are you'll be assigned to a group cabin. #slumberparty!
If you have any questions about accommodations, please feel free to reach out to us directly.
What to Pack
BEDDING: You'll need to bring a pillow & sleeping bag or sheets & blankets. Note: unless you're told otherwise, all beds are twin-size bunk beds. Detailed packing list will be sent out closer to our wedding date. Note: We'll sort out bedding for people traveling from overseas. No need to squeeze pillows into your luggage!
OUTFIT FOR WEDDING: For the ceremony and reception we ask that you dress in formal attire.
WARM/ RAIN CLOTHING: It can get chilly in the evening and rain is always a possibility. Bring layers and a raincoat.
BATH TOWEL AND TOILETRIES: Toilet paper and soap will be provided in each washroom, but please bring along any shampoo, conditioner, styling products, blow dryers, etc.
BUG SPRAY/ SUNSCREEN:
Because there might be pesky mosquitos and hopefully lots and lots of sun.
FLASHLIGHT:
For walking around the campsite at night. Or for super scary ghost stories around the campfire.
SWIMSUIT AND TOWEL:
The lake is all ours all weekend, so let's dive in! Unless it's shallow, then no diving. Cannonballs however, are always highly encouraged.
DRINKS:
Non-alcoholic beverages like water, pop, tea and coffee will be provided all weekend long, but bring whatever beer, wine or spirits suit your fancy! Drinks are on us during happy hour and at the reception though.
WATER BOTTLE:
We want you to stay hydrated! Bring a water bottle to fill for nighttime and for activities during the day.
SNACKS:
There's going to be lots to munch on, but feel free to bring your own stash of snacks to hide in your bunk. We won't judge!
LAWN CHAIR:
For kickin' back and relaxing.

Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Kindly RSVP by July 1st, 2022. And remember, your RSVP isn't finished until you've completed your e-transfer to jjcamptimberlane@gmail.com. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need any help.
We understand that some of you may require additional time to complete the RSVP. If so, please contact us.
What if I can only stay for one night?
You can choose to stay for whatever duration works for you. But unfortunately the camp charges the same fee for one night, two nights or even if you decide not to stay overnight at all. It's going to be lots of fun, so we highly encourage you to stay the whole weekend.
Can I bring a date?
Names of those invited will be listed directly on your invitation. If you are given a +1 on your invitation, then yes, you can bring a date.
Where should I park?
There's lots of free parking on the campgrounds.
Can I buy alcohol on site?
No, there won't be alcohol for sale onsite. But alcohol will be provided during the happy hour and reception on Saturday. If you'd like to drink outside of these times, we ask that you bring your own booze. If you need to pick some up on the way or need to restock, there's an LCBO and Beer Store in the town of Haliburton, just a 15 minute drive away from camp.
What will the weather be like?
Fingers crossed for sun! But just in case, please come prepared for rain, as you'll need to go outside to walk around the campgrounds.
We'd also recommend packing some warm clothes for the evenings, as it tends to cool down in September.
What should I wear?
We ask that all guests wear formal attire for our ceremony, happy hour and reception on Saturday. For these events, please dress as though you were going to any other wedding. The rest of the weekend, we'd recommend comfy clothes/shoes, plus some athletic gear if you'd like to participate in any of the activities.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but our reception is indoors.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. We are at summer camp so we recommend chunky heels or sandals.
Do I have to be vaccinated?
We'll be following the Province of Ontario's guidelines. Update to follow closer to the wedding. All staff onsite at Camp Timberlane will be vaccinated though.
Whom should I call with questions?
Feel free to contact:
