Story
Jim and Morgan's love story in the time of COVID started in the usual way: with a dating app. Even though both hadn't had the best luck with online dating in past, they decided to take a chance on each other, and are both very glad that they did!
Because they first connected during a COVID surge, they started with video chat dates and only met up in person a month later. The connection that they had felt in their video conversations persisted and grew in their real world encounters. After a few months of traveling back and forth across the San Francisco Bay to visit each other, both realized that they had found that special someone in their lives.
Tidbits
How did you first meet?
See Our Story!
Who's going to take out the trash?
Jim is in charge of trash duty (while Morgan cleans out the litter box).
What was your most memorable date?
A few months after we started dating, we went on a wine tasting tour up to Napa and Sonoma counties. We had a fun and relaxing day with great wine, food, and sights. The day after that was the first time we told each other "I love you."
What's your favorite activity together?
We're a big fan of Escape Rooms (for those viewing this on a computer, see the photo to the left). We've done ones in Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, and Portland. So far, we have a 100% escape success rate!
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
We're still finalizing our plans, but we think most likely southern Spain and France.
What's the best meal you have eaten together?
We've had phenomenal food from Horn Barbeque in Oakland a few times. You have to stand in line for about an hour to get it, but it's totally worth it.
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
We took a trip to see family friends of Jim's up in Salem in September, followed by a one-day tour of Portland afterwards. We really enjoyed the food, farmer's market, church service, and Escape Room up there!
We’re on the same page about
Service to those around us who are struggling. Both Morgan and Jim have a passion for helping others.
Schedule
Registry
Most of our registry is dedicated to covering costs for our honeymoon later this year (most likely in southern Spain and France), along with a few items that we're looking for around the house.
Travel and Games
Getting In
We recommend flying into either Long Beach (Closest), LAX, or John Wayne (Orange County).
