We found each other's Hinge profiles interesting and it's been a wild ride ever since. The first phone call we had was 6 hours long, and none of it was filled with awkward silence. Six weeks after we started talking, we met up for a day of exploration in Birmingham. Stop one was Saturn, a funky space-themed coffee shop where David beat Jodi at Scrabble (though he cheated). We went from there to The Birmingham Museum of Art where we learned about portraits and red-lining. We finished our first official date getting pizza at Iron City Pizza Company, two minutes after they opened (awkward? a bit).
Ever since then, we've made a habit of talking about difficult things, perusing local book stores, drinking red wine, and trying to make the most out of the days we've been given.

Are kids welcome?
We welcome your children, but please be respectful of the ceremony. If your child is having a hard time making it through, that's okay! There's plenty of space where you can enjoy the day's activities without disturbing those around you.
What will the weather be like?
Welcome to Alabama where the end of September can bring a welcomed cool relief or the heat of summer can still be felt. The venue is equipped for any and all weather!
Where should I park?
There is plenty of free parking near the entrance.
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Absolutely.
What should I wear?
Please see our Schedule for the dress code, but feel free to sport whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
We're keeping our fingers crossed for outdoors, but if that doesn't work we will be in a building that is equally as beautiful.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. There are a bunch of grassy/dirt/rocky areas that you might have to walk in so wear chunky heels or sandals. David also says to keep all flip flops and Crocs in your closet.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Our ceremony will be completely unplugged so that we can all experience the beauty of the moment. Before and after we would love for you to take as many pictures as you want!
