The journey time from Dublin airport is around two hours. From the airport, take the
M1(signposted Dublin). Leave the M1 at junction 3, then at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit
onto the M50 (signposted M50 Southbound). Continue onto the M11 and then the N11.
After about 30 miles, take the exit for Rathnew, Rathdrum and Wicklow (R752) and enter
Rathnew. Follow the signs for Rathdrum (passing through Glenealy). Stay on the R752 and
follow the road to Rathdrum.

A mile out of Rathdrum, take a right turn signposted for Aughrim (R753). Follow the road
through Ballinaclash as it bends sharply to the left after the bridge. In Aughrim turn left at
The Market Square House and take the road for Tinahely (R747).

After 4 miles, you'll come to a Campus petrol station. Take a right turn here and follow the
road. At the T-junction, turn right. Follow the road until you go over a hump bridge. You will
come to a pub on the left hand side of a T junction. Turn left up the hill. Follow this road
until you see a laneway dipping down to the left. There is a telegraph pole just beside the
laneway. There is a metal heart on the telegraph pole. (This is also often flagged with
balloons or ribbons). You will pass over a little yellow walker’s bridge, as this is part of the
Wicklow Way walking route.

Follow this laneway for a couple of miles, Follow the Ballycumber Loop signs. Bear left at

About Ballybeg

The history of Ballybeg House dates back to the early 1700’s and has been in the hands of many infamous families, including, more recently the well-known circus family “Fossetts”. The Fossett Family used the extensive farm buildings as their winter training quarters and being suspicious that the main residence was haunted, levelled it to the ground in 1948 and built in its place the colonial style residence that remains today.
Shortly after the completion of this residence Ballybeg was purchased by the present owner's mother, Mollie, who with her husband Pat O'Toole carefully and lovingly maintained and enhanced the surrounding gardens and arboretum.

The house and gardens are magnificent and we believe they will make our wedding day extra special. We would love you to join us in the celebrations! There is valet parking at Ballybeg House and a taxi service from the Reception will be available throughout the evening to local accommodation.
ATM facilities:
Cards are accepted at the bar in Ballybeg however there is no ATM on site.
There are ATMs in Tinahely and Rathdrum.

Valet Parking:
As you arrive to Ballybeg you will be met by valet staff. There is ample parking for 100+ cars and a mini-bus is available to ferry guests from the carpark to the main house. Cars can be left overnight or for the few days and will be safe and secure.
There are spaces allocated for Pod guests.

Taxi Service:
Fiona from Tinahely Cabs runs a hackney service on the wedding day. She will make a fleet of cars, buses, coaches- whatever is needed, available at Ballybeg; Fiona can be contacted by guests –her number and business cards are available at the bar, and Fiona will collect guests from right outside the Marquee. Guests then pay their own fares which are very reasonable.
