Our story is kind of a long one, but I will try my best to retell it in a short version.

The first time Cody and I met each other was at a mutual friends home when I was 14 and Cody was 15 (Over 10 years ago, wow!). I had been hanging out with my Best Friend and she invited her then boyfriend and some other friends over later that day. I remember Cody coming inside and I noticed his then curly hair, his blue/green eyes and how tall he was. He was more quiet/shy compared to the others in the group for sure, but literally the sweetest. I asked Cody how he remembered seeing me that day and he said "I remember it like it was yesterday. The sun was coming through the window just slightly and you were chillin on the couch being all shy. At that point I thought to myself "Well she's just as beautiful as can be!". Cody and I ended that night feeling a connection to each other neither of us completely understood yet... and wouldn't for years to come.

From that point on Cody and I kept in touch throughout Junior High and High School. When Cody graduated High School, we kinda lost touch. He was beginning to figure out his adult life and I was just about to begin mine within the next year. He got a job in Stillwater for a flooring company and I went to College in Kansas for the fall/winter semester of 2014. I came back home to Stillwater, OK after my first semester of college because I found out I was pregnant with my son.

A few months after I gave birth to Howie, I invited a good friend over to see us. Well... my good friend asked me "Can Cody Maloy come with me to visit?" I was surprised and I told her yes he can come. Cody said he felt "Shocked, surprised and overwhelmed. Everything hit all at once." Then came the internal panic and I was so nervous. I was panicking on figuring out what to wear, I didn't look like I did in High School! I made this big meal for them. Which later I find out is one of his least favorites (FAIL!!). When Cody and my friend showed up... Cody looked so different! Wearing a flat bill hat and he had a little bit of beard (WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?!), but he felt familiar and was still his shy/quiet self.

After that night, it was like we were never apart. We hung out and he never shied away from Howie, Cody always included him in everything we did. Don't ask us who asked who out because that never really happened. We both just kind of... Fell into each other. Everything just felt right when we were together and all of a sudden we were doing couple things! ;) Now here we are 6 years later finally tying the knot! <3
