Story
We went to high school together but didn't know each other well. Our paths crossed again when Judy moved back from New Orleans after grad school. We began to hang out with our mutual friends, Ross and Kendall, who hinted we would make a good pair. We began to think the same thing during Ross and Kendall's wedding weekend in Florida. We spent the weekend laughing and dancing together. When we got home Teddy asked Judy out for a date.
Tidbits
How did Teddy propose?
Teddy wanted to catch Judy by surprise. Judy went for her typical after-work walk. When she came home Teddy was in the living room holding Toulouse who had a collar on. Judy knew that something was up because Toulouse doesn't usually wear a collar. Teddy asked Judy to read the tag which was asking her to marry him. He got down on one knee and got the ring out. All while still holding the cat! It was a purrfect proposal for the crazy cat couple.
What was your most memorable date?
We had an epic St. Paddy's Day during our first trip to New Orleans. We'll spare you all the details, but it involved a parade, a cat without a tail, and an ABBA cover band.
What's your favorite activity together?
Adventure days, hiking, road trips, cooking, dancing around the kitchen, and snuggling up with Toulouse!
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
We're still planning but it's looking like Morocco and Greece!
What's the best meal you have eaten together?
We love food! Between dining on the Danube in Budapest and our own culinary genius it is hard to choose. Most recently we went to Filomena in Georgetown and Teddy introduced Judy to his favorite dish, lobster cardinale. It was delish!
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
We've had the great fortune to travel to many places together. One of our most memorable trips was going to Budapest for Judy's uncle's 80th birthday celebration. Judy loved showing Teddy her favorite places and introducing him to her family. Teddy loved the beautiful architecture, delicious food, and of course her uncle's homemade palinka.

The most spontaneous thing we’ve done
Our very first road trip to New Orleans. We hadn't been dating that long but decided to take a chance on a week long road trip to Judy's former home and favorite place. Spoiler alert- it went well!
The dorkiest thing about us is
We are kinda crazy cat people. If you met Toulouse you might be too. We also love Jeopardy!
We are regulars at
We love grabbing drinks and food at a lot of great spots in downtown Frederick. Lately, we've been frequenting Gambrill Mountain Food Co. and White Rabbit.
We take pride in
The food we cook together. And how much fun we have cooking it!

Things to do in Frederick
Stroll through downtown- Frederick has a charming historic downtown with fun shops, delicious restaurants, art galleries, and a walking path along the creek.
Get your history nerd on- Frederick is full of history! Visit the National Museum of Civil War Medicine downtown or take a short drive to the Monocacy Battlefield. Harper's Ferry is about 25 minutes away.
Listen to some music on the creek- On Friday nights in the summer there is music along the creek.
Visit DC or Baltimore- Frederick is just an hour away from both!
Hampton Inn & Suites Frederick-Fort Detrick, Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD, USA
We have a room block at the Hampton Inn & Suites. It is the closest hotel to downtown and the venue. The group code is RSW. There are also several B&Bs and Airbnb rentals in downtown Frederick.
Getting to the venue
We will have a shuttle leaving the hotel at 3:45 pm and returning at 9:30 and 10:30 pm. There is also plenty of parking on site and the venue is accessible by uber/lyft.

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. Please reach out if you have questions!
What will the weather be like?
Welcome to Frederick, all of you out-of-towners! August can get hot and humid with highs in the mid-high 80s and lows in the mid 60s.
Where should I park?
There is plenty of free parking on site.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony is outdoors and our reception will be in a barn.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
The ceremony will be on the grass and there is a short walk on the grass between the ceremony and reception so wear comfortable footwear for that terrain.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them.
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.
