Story

We met at a wine night that was organized by Julia's sister, Kelsey and Matt's groomsman, Teddy.

[Julia did not know Matt was going to be there that night.]

Matt: Before I left for NM and then the UK, I came up with a plan for Julia and I to continue to date and get to know each other more. A few days before I departed I presented it to her. It was clear then that Julia was simply humoring me because she already knew I was her person. After just a few visits to Albuquerque and Omaha, I realized just how great a life with Julia would be.

Julia: From the very beginning, there was something about Matt that made my eyes sparkle and my heart feel at home. I think it started from night one and continues to be true today. Matt, one of my favorite places to be is anywhere with you by my side.

Tidbits

How did you first meet?

See Our Story!

Who made the first move? How?

Aggressively, Julia.

What was your most memorable date?

We did a self-guided brewery tour in Omaha, NE when Julia was living there. It was one of the best dates for both of us!

Who's going to take out the trash?

Taelin & Grizz.

What's your favorite activity together?

Cooking together or going to local breweries any place we live or visit and playing games!

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

Undecided!

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

We've eaten a LOT of great meals together, but one of the top we can absolutely agree on is a seven course meal we had at a restaurant called Navadhanya in Cambridge, England.

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Probably the one were we had to abandon our car in Paris, France and it was never to be seen by us again...

A life goal of ours

To live in Canada!

The dorkiest thing about us is

Our collection of board games! Matt was a collector of Blu-rays prior to meeting Julia and wasn't a huge board game player. Julia has ALWAYS loved games of any kind and once she brought him over to the dark side, the collection of movies stopped and the board games have taken over.

We are regulars at

Red Door Brewing in Clovis, NM. Come visit us and it's the one place in this town we can take you.

We take pride in

Raising our daughter, Taelin.
