The first time I saw him, we were both sitting out the back of his property in Doonside. I remember glancing over at him and thinking, Oh, wow, he’s cute. When my brother introduced us, I saw his jaw drop and he couldn't take his eyes off me. A little lost for words, we eventually started talking. He asked if I would go for a ride with him, I gave him my number and we went our separate ways. for a month or two we hung out cruising in his commodore and riding the street glide together. I thought about him often, but eventually he faded into the ‘missed connections’ category.
A few years later, out of the blue, I called him up to do pest control for my company. We hit it off like nothing ever changed. i would find excuses at work to call him just to hear his voice. We went on a few rides to our spot in the city where we would chat and catch up with a gorgeous view of the harbor.
Eventually the stars aligned despite a few missed ques and the dreaded friend zone. I asked him if he was mine and with a profound yes we started dating.
