Story
We both swiped right on Tinder. After about a week of messaging and phone chatting, we met in person in Denver. Both of us were nervous because we knew the other just had "it".
Tidbits
How did you first meet?
The old fashioned way - TINDER!
Who made the first move? How?
Not sure. When we met we both knew the other one was "it". On our 2nd date, Julie went to Sean's house for dinner and he kissed her as she walked in the door to get it over with. So, I guess you could say he made the first move.
Who's going to take out the trash?
Whoever leaves the house first. And whoever gets home first brings the bins back in!
What was your most memorable date?
Our first date - we didn't want it to end. We met at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver, walked around and saw some art and drank some tea on the rooftop. Then we went to lunch at the Kitchen Downtown. Julie was doing a Whole30 and Sean researched where we could eat. We still weren't ready to say goodbye after lunch, so we went over to the Kirkland Museum of Decorative Art. There was an exhibit of local potters and Sean knew a handful of them. We realized he used to share studio space with a cousin of a friend of Julie's. Small world! We finally had to say goodbye because Julie had to go home to take Murphy out. It was a solid 6 hour date!
What's your favorite activity together?
We love to paddleboard, snorkel, and hike. We also have fun creating new cocktails!
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
We don't know!
What's the best meal you have eaten together?
One of our top meals was at Geronimo in Santa Fe, NM for Julie's 51st birthday. The service and food were all 5 stars. Another top 5 meal was at Tavernetta in Denver after seeing "Hamilton" with Sean's parents. Sean's meal was the best of the night - sea bass.
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
We've taken a number of great trips, but on our most recent trip to the Big Island of Hawaii we had a bucket list moment - seeing lava erupt from Kilauea. How many people can say they've seen that??
A life goal of ours
is to visit all 50 states! Julie has been to 48 and Sean has been to 43. Sean would also love to fly fish in every state!
The dorkiest thing about us is
We love Yacht Rock!
We are regulars at
Our home bar. We really upped our cocktail game during covid and why go out when you have a full bar and restaurant at home! Most other times you can find us at Torchy's and Safta.

Travel & Things to Do
Getting In
We recommend flying into Denver International Airport. It's a hub for both Southwest and United, so finding direct flights is a breeze!
Getting Downtown
There a lots of ways to get to downtown! There are several car rental options, and Lyft and Uber are available. If you are feeling more adventurous, the light rail is only a few dollars to downtown Denver and drops you off at Union Station in LoDo.
Denver
Don't forget Denver is a mile above sea level, so plan accordingly. Drink lots of water. Wear sunscreen. Bring layers as it can get cool once the sun sets.
