An arrogant young prince named David and his castle's servants fall under the spell of a wicked enchantress, who turns him into the hideous Beast until he learns to love and be loved in return. Julie, a spirited and headstrong girl who dreams of adventures, enters the Beast's castle where he imprisons her for trespassing. When she wanders into the forbidden West Wing and discovers the lighted candles and "rose petals", the Beast catches her and angrily lets out a ferocious roar - attempting to guard himself. Nevertheless, Julie sees something sweet in him and with the help of his enchanted servants including the matronly Mrs. Potts, she begins to draw the cold-hearted Beast out of his isolation. As she nurses his wounds from the past, a spark develops between them and they begin to fall in love. Time passes and he asks for her hand in marriage - of course she gleefully says yes! In celebration of their wedding, the Prince and Julie announce to the kingdom they are hosting a ball, where they plan to happily dance the night away...
