Liberty View Brooklyn Hotel, 4th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, USA

For guests who want to stay as close to the venue as possible, the Liberty View is the choice for you. While we don't have a discounted group rate at the Liberty, this hotel is only blocks from the wedding venue and is comparably priced to the Downtown Brooklyn Hampton Inn. You can book rooms online or by calling the hotel directly.

While this location doesn’t offer the many shopping perks and well known landmarks of Downtown Brooklyn it isn’t without its own charm. You can check out the many cool shops in Industry City. If you are looking to take a stroll, check out the incredibly impressive Greenwood Cemetery which is home to the “Highest Point In Brooklyn” with incredible views of the city, Statue of Liberty, and even the wedding venue itself.

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by July 1 (early RSVPs appreciated!)

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones and would love to have them all with us, we are doing an adult only ceremony and reception.

How do I get to the venue?

The venue is easily accessible both by public transportation (subway) or by car! The ceremony will begin right at 6pm, so leave yourself plan ahead and leave yourself enough time to get there!

Brooklyn Grange Sunset Park
850 Third Avenue, Roof
Brooklyn NY 11232

By subway:
- Google maps shows subway directions! Enter Brooklyn Grange - Sunset Park into the destination and choose the train icon for subway directions.
- Take the R train towards Bay Ridge to the 25th St Station.
- Walk north on 4th Avenue until you hit 31st St.
- Turn right on 31st St towards 3rd Avenue.
- Walk straight into the mall parking lot!

By Uber / Lyft:
- Download the Uber / Lyft App. For destination, put in Brooklyn Grange - Sunset Park or the address listed above.

Once you arrive:
- Enter the mall parking lot and walk on the sidewalk all the way to the back of the parking lot (keep MicroCenter on your right!).
- Enter the venue using the last door and take the elevator to the roof.

I'm driving to venue - where should I park?

Instead of driving, we recommend using Uber / Lyft / or another taxi service to get to the venue. If you do want to drive, don't be fooled by the large parking lot! While you can't park in the mall parking lot, there is street parking on 3rd Avenue or public parking lots on 2nd Avenue - just west of the venue.

What should I wear?

Cocktail attire is preferred.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

This venue is a working farm with some uneven terrain. Wear any shoes you will feel most comfortable in.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but our reception will be indoors!

What will the weather be like?

We are hoping for beautiful weather! While August is generally pretty warm, because our venue is a rooftop farm next to the East River we should get a nice breeze and be cooler than your typical August wedding.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Shoot away before and after, but please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony so you can be in the moment with us!

Will Anubis be at the wedding?

Unfortunately dogs are not allowed at the wedding venue so Anubis will not be in attendance.

Things to do - Dumbo!

Dumbo is one of the most-visited spots in Brooklyn, and it’s easy to see why. Just a couple of decades removed from an industrial past in which few people lived there and there was little reason to visit, it’s now a hotbed of dining, recreation and shopping with great views of the Lower Manhattan skyline.
- Take a beautiful walk through Brooklyn Bridge Park. Don't forget to take a peak at Jane's Carousel and St Ann's Warehouse.
- Walk over the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan.
- Check out vintage clothing, collectibles and antiques, as well as a tightly curated selection of jewelry, art, and crafts by local artisans and designers at Brooklyn Flea.
- Not afraid of a line? Get amazing pizza at Ignazio’s or Grimaldi's.
- Grab a coffee at Devocion, a pastry at Almondine's Bakery, or a beer at Evil Twin's Brewing!

Things to do - Sunset Park & Park Slope!

- Explore Prospect Park! Enjoy everything the park has to offer from picnics, wooded trails, the boathouse, and even a zoo!
- Take a beautiful walk through Green-Wood Cemetery! Green-Wood is 478 spectacular acres of hills, valleys, glacial ponds, and paths, throughout which exists one of the largest outdoor collections of nineteenth- and twentieth-century statuary and mausoleums.
- Spend the afternoon in Industry City. Industry City in Brooklyn is one of the coolest, under-the-radar spots in the city for dining, drinking, art, and seasonal entertainment bringing new life to the former industrious warehouse complex near the waterfront of Sunset Park.
- Get a NY Bagel at our favorite spot: Bagel Pub!
- Enjoy a beer at one of many Brooklyn Breweries including Talea Beer Co, Threes Brewing, Five Boroughs Brewing Co, Other Half Brewing Company, or Gun Hill Publick House!
