Story
Kate and Drew both ventured to the UK in 2011 for a gap year at FeltonFleet Prep School. On the plane (50 + gappies) over to the UK Drew ignored Kate and spent the flight reading. Kate was down the back of the plane drinking Singapore Slings with her fellow gappies. Drew and Kate were partnered with the same weekly schedule. The rest was history!
Tidbits
How did you first meet?
On our gap year in the UK
Who's going to take out the trash?
Drew's job is bin night - his favourite night of the week!
What was your most memorable date?
Going to Euro Disney in Paris on our gap year
What's your favorite activity together?
The beautiful Queenscliff to Shelley walk on the weekends
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
Somewhere relaxing (with cocktails for Kate) but adventurous enough to satisfy Drew! New Zealand, Tasmania or Northern Territory are all on our bucket list!
What's the best meal you have eaten together?
We treated ourselves to a five-course meal in Paris. It was magical.
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
Margaret River was a wonderful Aussie getaway, the beaches, the food and fabulous vineyards. We went Jetskiing and Drew kept trying to fling Kate off so she would get eaten by a shark
We’re on the same page about
The Last Kingdom is an awesome show on Netflix and Taylor Swift is the best singer ever.
A life goal of ours
To own a lot of doggies
The dorkiest thing about us is
When we have a night in (which is often) we have been binging greys anatomy - very tragic! Drew thinks he is a doctor!

Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by 1st December 2021. Although if you are intending to book any of the accommodation owned by Mona Farm (onsite or in town) we will need to confirm this by August 2021.
What accomodation should I book?
Accomodation in Braidwood is very limited as Braidwood is a small country town. Mona Farm has several accomodation options onsite as well as many buildings in town (2 min drive from Mona Farm). There is enough accomodation owned by Mona Farm to accomodate all of our guests. All of these buildings are currently on hold for Drew and Kate. 6 months prior to the wedding Mona Farm will open these accomodation options to the public, so we will need to confirm your intentions by 1st August 2021.
Drew and Kate have allocated you to a room/building. Drew and Kate will make contact with you regarding their recommendations. If you would prefer to seek out your own accomodation this is absolutely no problem, please just let Kate and Drew know as soon as you can.
Please note that most of these accomodation options have a 2 night minimum stay. The Cedar Lodge is the only building that does not have a 2 night minimum stay and is perfect for those who intend to come up for the wedding night only.
Where should I park?
There is plenty of free parking at Mona Farm
What if I have a dietary restriction?
When you are completing your RSVP, each event will have a question where you can write your dietary restriction. If you have any specific queries reach out to Drew and Kate directly.
Are kids welcome?
As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the reception.
We know that some of you will be travelling with your kids, so please know they are welcome at the Thursday night Welcome Dinner, Wedding Ceremony and Sunday recovery brunch! We can also assist in sourcing local babysitters, please reach out if you have questions or would like us to organise a babysitter for your little one!
There are many friendly animals at Mona Farm - Pigs, Horses, Cows and Chickens. Your kids are more than welcome to visit them over the weekend! There is also a tennis court if any kids are feeling active.
Is there transportation being provided between reception and hotels?
A shuttle bus will be organised to pick guests up from the centre of Braidwood at 4.00pm. The shuttle bus will leave Mona Farm at midnight to drop guests back into Braidwood. Please note that this journey is only 2 minutes. There are no taxis in Braidwood so if you are getting the shuttle bus you will need to make sure you do not miss it! The bus will drop guests directly back to each property on the return trip.
Exact bus drop-off and departure times will be confirmed closer to the date.
Can I bring a date?
Please check your invite for your +1!
What should I wear?
Our dress code is Formal Attire
What does Formal Attire mean?
Men - Suits or suit jackets - no tux required (unless you want to!)
Ladies - Longer dresses, jumpsuits, pantsuits or a dressy skirt/top combo
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but our reception will be inside. We do also have a complete wet weather option in the unfortunate event that it rains
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
Ladies do not wear stiletto heels! There are a bunch of grassy/dirt areas that you might have to walk in so wear chunky heels. We can't have any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles.
Although in saying that we will have some golf buggies that can drive you up to the reception if you must wear your favourite heels!
Are there any colors that guests should avoid wearing?
Ladies, Kate really does not mind what colour you wear e.g. black, cream, white, neon green etc. Just wear what makes you feel happy and that you can dance in
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes, and we will have a golf cart available for anyone needing assistance getting around the property! OR if you have had too much to drink hehe
Whom should I call with questions?
Depending on your query you can contact Kate (0452 234 616) or Drew (0426 176 779)
Otherwise, you are welcome to contact the lovely Maids of Honour Libby (0439 747 440) or Emily (0435 352 864).
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them. However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.
Can I walk directly from Braidwood to Mona Farm
Whilst it is only a 2 minute drive from Braidwood to Mona Farm, the property is situated just off the Kings Highway. Unfortunately, it is too dangerous to walk as there is not an adequate footpath and cars will be travelling at 80km/hour (at a minimum).
Registry
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, should you wish to bring a gift, a contribution to our wishing well would be very much appreciated.
