Story

More than ten years ago - we each had families and we were neighbors. We spent the next couple of years with our respective families creating memories and history together - cheering each other on to love and good deeds. Through the years we stayed in touch as friends, sharing prayer requests, joys and sorrows, and watching the kids grow up. Through the hard and through the growth - we always knew we could lean on each others’ friendship and faith.

In November 2021 - we shared the same Facebook status . . . “Single”! Mike invited me to join him for an evening to reconnect and this began a new chapter in our relationship!

Tidbits

Who made the first move? How?

After that initial reconnecting in November . . . We continued what we had always done - sharing music we liked, sermons and crazy pictures of the moon. After a few months - Mike asked in a text if I’d like to go to Top Golf with him. I dropped my phone like a hot cake and said out loud - “Oh my gosh - I think Micheal Frank just asked me out on a date!!!” A couple months later - we did go to Top Golf and had a blast.

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Well that would have to be our trip last April to Kansas City to celebrate Mike’s Uncle Ken and Aunt Diane’s 65th Anniversary on the 22nd and then Mike surprised me by purposing the next day surrounded by his family - It was incredible!

We’re on the same page about

Friendship, Faith, Family & Friends, & Fun!

A life goal of ours

To love God, love each other, and love others!

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

Anywhere with beautiful beaches!

The dorkiest thing about us is

We howl at the moon together on occasion and love looking at the stars through his telescope.

Who's going to take out the trash?

Whoever happens to be closer to the trash - We take turns!

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by October 25th, so we can have an accurate headcount.

Are kids welcome?

We love your little ones, we will be happy for them to be included in the ceremony and reception. We will have some games available for them to play and Corn Hole! Please reach out if you have questions!

What will the weather be like?

Welcome to Texas, for all of you out-of-towners, be aware the weather here can be funny. During the day, the weather should be beautiful in November —but might get chilly at night. Please bring something warm to throw on (just in case) for the evening.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of free parking near - I will send and email with more details. So be sure to share your email address.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes, there are ramps available around the property!

What should I wear?

Church attire, please.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is in the Chapel. Our reception will be inside with access to fun outside under a covered patio.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. There are a bunch of grassy areas that you might have to walk in so wear chunky heels or sandals. Can't have any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. However, we would love for you to take photos and share them on our Joy App. Download Joy and join our app using our event handle kathy-and-michael-ecllh5spfw000a01wihn1ahw7gs. View and share photos and stay up-to-date with details on the go.
