Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by September 1st! :)

Can I bring a date?

Please check when you RSVP whether you have a plus one! Please do not bring a date if you do not have a +1 on your RSVP.

Are kids welcome?

We kindly request this be an adult-only wedding. However, special exceptions can be made if you discuss with the bride and groom beforehand.

What will the weather be like?

The weather in San Diego in early October should be beautiful, averaging 75-80 degrees. Sometimes it can get a little chilly at night though.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of street parking all around the venue. There is also a small parking lot behind the venue. Both options are free. You cannot leave your car overnight in their parking lot.

What should I wear?

Please dress for a colorful garden party! Need some ideas? Here's a Pinterest board with some ideas: www.pinterest.com/kmcline21/colorful-garden-party-attire/

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, and our reception will be indoor/outdoor.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. The wedding ceremony will be in grass, and cocktail hour will on the patio which has uneven surfaces, so wear chunky heels or sandals. We don't want any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles!

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them. Please use the following link to share your photos of our wedding day with us:

You'll see QR codes you can scan at the wedding for easy photo sharing.

Whom should I call with questions?

Please text the bride or groom with any questions at 916-956-6656 (Kayla) or 408-960-4453 (Kit).

Your presence on our big day is enough of a present to us! Please consider donating to one of the below charities that mean a lot to us and our families instead of bringing a gift.

Getting In

We recommend flying into the San Diego International Airport

Car

Getting to the Wedding Venue (Secret Garden at RSF)

The San Diego International Airport is located in downtown, which is approximately 35-40 minutes from the wedding venue (without traffic). The wedding venue is located in Rancho Santa Fe, which is in northern San Diego. Lyft and Uber are usually an easy option, but renting a car for the weekend might be a cheaper option. If you are feeling adventurous, you could also take the tram in some parts of San Diego!

Note

October is still Summer in San Diego, and our wedding weekend is a holiday weekend so please make your arrangements as soon as possible for the best rates and availability.

Story

We went to Santa Barbara City College and became best friends after the first time we met. We spent most days together after that - playing Spikeball at the beach, walking around the Santa Barbara zoo, cheering Chad on at his softball games, going to college parties on Del Playa Dr. or at Sigma Nu, and getting late night burritos at Rosarito.

About a year into our friendship, we decided to start dating and shortly after we made the big decision to move to San Diego together.

In the last 5 years living in San Diego, we've survived Kit going to Law School at USD, sharing a 1 bedroom apartment during COVID, raising two insanely hyperactive dogs, and starting our careers.

We went back to Santa Barbara at the end of August in 2022 where Kit proposed on the beach we used to play Spikeball at with all of our friends. Where this whole thing started!

Tidbits

What was your most memorable date?

Our first date - we went to a really fancy dinner at Tre Lune in Montecito, CA

What's your favorite activity together?

Taking the dogs to the park, a dog beach, or on a long walk/hike

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

Barcelona, Spain > Dubai, Saudi Arabia > The Maldives

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Probably a tie between when we went to Munich, Rome, and Venice before Kit started his study abroad program and St. Croix to celebrate our friend's wedding!

We’re on the same page about

Almost everything... except for whether the dogs should be allowed on the bed and the couch ;)

A life goal of ours

To continue traveling and buy a house someday with a yard for Lola and Oakley!

The dorkiest thing about us is

How funny we think we are or how hard we laugh at our really dumb jokes and sarcastic comments...

We are regulars at

Baked Bear, Starbucks, Fiesta Island Dog Beach, Fidel's Little Mexico, Zia's Pizza, Snap Dragon Stadium, Ken Sushi Workshop, OB Dog Beach, & OB Brewery
