Flying
For our guests flying from out of town, the Reno-Tahoe International Airport will be the easiest and most efficient airport to fly into, with only about a 50 minute drive from there to Chalet View Lodge. We recommend renting a car for the weekend.
Please note that Graeagle is relatively remote. Most ride sharing apps and other technological amenities will not be available.
Airport Rental Car
We recommend renting a car for getting to and from the resort that week as most ride sharing apps aren't available in Greagle. We’d love if groups of guests joined forces in renting transportation together, so try to coordinate if you can!
Please click the VISIT ONLINE below for more information on renting a car.
Directions from Reno-Tahoe Airport to Chalet View Lodge:
From the Airport, head east and take the ramp on the left to I-580 North. Keep right at the fork to merge onto I-580 North. Continue onto US-395 North towards Susanville. Take exit 8 for CA-70 toward Portola/Quincy after about 25 miles on the US-395 N. Turn left at the stop sign onto CA-70 West and continue on for 27 miles. Chalet View Lodge will be on your left after you pass through the small town of Portola, CA.

Lodging: Chalet View Lodge
The Chalet View Lodge is a boutique resort and spa located in Graeagle, CA about 50 miles north of both Reno and Truckee. We selected the Chalet specifically for it's ability to accommodate all of our events and our guests (plus, no curfew!). There are 51 rooms of different accommodation on the property, which also includes an onsite brewery and a Starbucks. Check in is at 4pm and check out is 11am. While the Chalet View Lodge cannot guarantee an early check in, they do their best to accommodate.

Q & A
For all our friends and family who have any questions, please check out our Q & A first!
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by April 25th
Can I bring a date?
If your invitation specified a plus one feel free! Please do not bring anyone to the ceremony and reception that was not included in your RSVP.
Are kids welcome?
We sincerely hope that your kids will join you on the majority of our three day summer camp experience before and after the wedding day events. However, if your children are 10 or under, they are not invited to the actual ceremony or reception. Don't worry though, your children will have a wonderful night too! They are invited to a fantastic pajama party featuring a magic show by The Great Sparacino! Their party will be supervised and run by Joanna's Nanny's. All of their nannies have years of experience, are comfortable with all ages from infant to tween, have glowing reviews, are CPR certified and have undergone thorough background checks. Feel free to check then out here:
Is your wedding really on a Wednesday?
Yes. It is. We know this may be a significant challenge for some of you and we really and truly appreciate all of your efforts to be with us on our special day. Believe us when we say that a lot of thought and worry went into this decision. We totally understand if you are unable to attend, but we are really hoping that you can! Come play with us for a few days and we promise that if you carve us out some
of your summer we will make it worth your while in good times with great people.
What time should I arrive?
We hope you can arrive Monday and spend some time with us before we wed! There is plenty to do and we love all of you. We want as much time with you as possible.
Where should I park?
The lodge has plenty of parking on site. Just pull right up.
What should I wear?
Cocktail attire. By all means dress to impress but leave your tux and tails behind. Consider a long sleeve as festivities are outside and will go late into the night.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
The ceremony and reception are both outdoors so please dress accordingly. High heels may sink into the ground below you, and flats make it easier to dance the night away anyway.
Are dogs allowed?
Chalet View Lodge is a pet-friendly resort and allows dogs on most of the property. They only ask that guests please refrain from bringing their pets into areas of the property where food is being served indoors: the brewery and the lobby during breakfast. If you like the idea of having your pup join in on some wedding fun, we are more than happy to have them around! We kindly ask that you leave your pets behind in your room during the ceremony, and leash them during the reception if they are prone to running away or roaming far. Our concern here is that once we are deep into late night festivities, we would like everyone to be able to celebrate freely. Everyone should be able to be easily accounted for, especially our four-legged friends! You know your pup better than anyone else, so please make your decision "to leash, or not to leash" based on the tendencies of your furry friend! We will be bringing our pup Raylan; he can't wait to meet you!
Registry
Your presence is enough of a present to us! But for those of you who are stubborn, we've put together a wish-list to help you out.
