Story

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...
(8 years ago, in London...really) Ken and Yena met for the first time during a pub crawl at medical school.

It took a few dates for them to get to know each other, including going to the premiere for Interstellar, sharing a Häagen-Dazs, and a walk past the London Eye.

After a home-cooked carbonara on Guy Fawkes night, Ken plucked up the courage to ask Yena to be his girlfriend. Ken and Yena became KENA and let's say the rest is history...

They share the love for Sci-Fi movies, travelling and tasting good food from every corner of the world. Ken got Yena to switch her allegiance to Man United, and Yena even got Ken into K-pop & golf!

Most of all, we cherish spending time with our family and friends. Hence, we cannot wait to celebrate with you all on our wedding day. Let's have a great party!

Travel

Flying in from abroad

We recommend flying into London Heathrow Airport, which is only 20 minutes drive from the venue.

Getting to the venue

If you are planning to drive, there will be plenty of parking at the venue. Botleys Mansion is located in the town of Ottershaw, in the county of Surrey, and neighbours a number of towns including Chertsey, Chobham, Weybridge, and Woking. Just a short distance off the M25 and M3 motorways. You can use the postcode KT16 0AP on your sat nav.

If you are planning to take public transport, Weybridge station is a half an hour direct train ride from London Waterloo and trains are fairly frequent. Weybridge train station is then a 15-minute taxi ride from Botleys Mansion. Chertsey train station is an alternative which is 5-minute taxi ride from the venue, but trains may be slower/indirect.

Evening shuttle services to London Victoria

For those who may wish to stay in central London, there will be a complimentary shuttle leaving the venue to London Victoria Station.

It will be departing at 10pm and midnight. There is a 24 passengers capacity each trip.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by 1st April, so we can have an accurate headcount.

What will the weather be like?

Weather can be unpredictable in the UK, but we have our fingers-crossed for some sunny weather! During the day, the temperature should be averaging 18-22 degrees, but will get a bit chilly at night. You may want to bring some warm layers for the evening.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is indoors. Afterwards, there will be an outdoor drinks reception on stones & grass surface - ladies may want to bring sensible footwear! Wedding breakfast and the party will be back indoors.

Is there a dress code?

We'd love our family and friends to dress up with us! The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire.

Are there any colors that guests should avoid wearing?

We kindly ask that you avoid colours traditionally reserved for the bride - white, ivories and creams.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
