Getting In

We recommend flying into Seattle–Tacoma International Airport!

The Lightrail is the most inexpensive and simplest way to travel to downtown. Get off at the University St. or Westlake stop and you'll be just a few short blocks from the WAC.

Car

Getting Downtown

There are lots of ways to get downtown from the airport! There are several car rental options, as well as Lyft, Uber and taxi. If you are feeling adventurous, the light rail is only a few dollars to downtown Seattle and is definitely the easiest and least expensive option!

Note

October weather can be unpredictable in Seattle....

Bring a warm jacket and your dancing shoes! The venue is primarily indoor but has a lovely & large outdoor patio and outdoor bar we'll utilize as much as the weather allows!

House

Inn at the WAC

We have a block of rooms available at the Inn at the WAC for Friday and Saturday nights. Let them know you're part of the Hillier/Clevenger party and you'll receive a reduced rate! Guests at the WAC are provided access to the club's amenities:

To get the group rate you will need to call (206.464.3055/800.275.3775) or reach out to reservations at innreservations@wac.net and ask for the Hillier/Clevenger wedding. The group rate will be available until Friday, September 16th so don't wait until the last minute!

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by September 8th, so we have an accurate headcount.

Can I bring a date?

Please check your invite for your +1!

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. We recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids, so please let us know if you'd like help securing a trusted babysitter for Saturday night! Kerry has lots of highly qualified colleagues she's happy to refer!

What will the weather be like?

Welcome to Washington, all of you out-of-towners! The weather in Seattle mid-October might be beautiful, sunny and 62 degrees...or, it might be rainy, cold and 39 degrees. Keep an eye on and plan to bring at least 1 light, water resistant jacket.

The venue is heavily indoors but does include a large outdoor patio with an outdoor bar. We hope to use the patio as much as possible - fingers crossed for a clear evening!

Where should I park?

There is limited parking at the Georgetown Ballroom.

If you're traveling from Bainbridge Island: We suggest grabbing an Uber, Lyft, or Yellow Cab to the venue. It's a quick 10 minute trip and should be equally as simple to hop back in a car to get to the ferry at the end of the evening.

If you're traveling from the Inn at the WAC: We suggest grabbing an Uber, Lyft, or Yellow Cab to the venue. It's a quick 10 minute trip and should be equally as simple to hop back in a car to get to the hotel.

If you're set on driving your own car, there are about 40 spots available with the venue. There is also free (and safe!) street parking directly outside the venue.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes.

What should I wear?

Festive cocktail attire encouraged! The Georgetown Ballroom is a renovated 1920s theater, complete with wild lighting, exposed brick, antique artifacts and decor - come dressed to impress and ready to PARTY!
Have a fabulous dress with an extra large bow? PERFECT! How about that dusty old tux with embroidered gold detail? WEAR IT! We want you to look and feel FABULOUS! Being a little *extra* is highly encouraged.

We have a LIVE BAND to help keep the party poppin'. We hope everyone is prepared to eat, drink, and have the most fun dancing the night away!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and reception are indoors, but there is a large outdoor courtyard complete with a bar, twinkle lights, and garden seating. Weather allowing, we hope to host our cocktail hour outdoors so bring a light jacket!

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Anything you're comfortable dancing the night away in should be fine. The flooring and courtyard are suitable for heels, sandals, dress shoes, etc.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

We will have a moment during the ceremony where we'll encourage everyone to use their camera/phone to take a quick pic, then we ask you put your camera/phone away and live in the moment with us!

After the ceremony, we encourage you to take lots of pics and if you post to social media, use the hashtag #mattgotkerrydaway. Please feel free to text pictures to Kerry and Matt so they can wake up on Sunday 10/16 and relive the night!

Whom should I call with questions?

Prior to our wedding weekend, feel free to connect with Kerry or Matt with any questions.

Wedding week questions should be directed to MOH Annie Hillier at 206 276 4291 or Bridesmaid Erin White at 253 376 0835.
