Our Story

It all started in 2009 when we became dance teammates. First I moved from Vallejo to go to school at Cal Poly Pomona, where I joined a dance team called GRV. A year later John made his way from Oxnard and joined the team. We actually met at rehearsal because I missed John's auditions.
I saw this new guy sitting across the studio and we made eye contact. I went over and greeted him with a warm welcome to the team. John later impressed me with his skills and facial expressions he made every time he danced. Call it love at first sight, because we instantly connected. We later spent the next few years together on the team and the rest was history.

Tidbits

How did he propose?

John decided to ask me on our trip to Hawaii. When we were at staying at Aulani, at around sunset time he took me out for a walk across the lagoon. There were a lot of rocks and sand, but as close as we could get to the ocean, he got down on one knee and asked. And I said "yes!"

Who made the first move?

John did, but I asked him out to eat first. We had our "first date" at Red Robin.

What are your future plans?

To start a family and have a nesting place of our own.

What is your favorite activity in Disneyland?

Eating churros. Our favorite rides are Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones.

Do you have any pets?

Our baby Lana is now in dog heaven.
