Story
Being known introverts, Hollis and Kylie met online. It was during the first date that Kylie fell: literally. She tripped on the sidewalk while out for a walk, and even though it was just a moment of clumsiness, she knew it was a story she would tell for years!
Tidbits
Who made the first move? How?
After chatting online, Hollis made the first move. They asked Kylie out to coffee, and we met for the first time at Five Watt Coffee. We bonded over a love of imaginative flavor combos and a well-brewed cuppa!
Who's going to take out the trash?
Kylie is hoping to train one of the dogs to do house chores. They are pretty good at cleaning plates after dinner, but we'll have to work up to the trash.
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
Madagascar to see the lemurs!
What's the best meal you have eaten together?
Kylie says anything the Hollis cooks her.
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
We unfortunately have not been able to travel much together, but Kylie is excited to take Hollis all over the world!

Things to do the Twin Cities
Visit a Museum!
There are many to choose from, depending on taste. For a more classic museum, check out the Minneapolis Institute of Art. If you want something more interesting, or unique, We can recommend the The Bakken Museum, the Russian Museum of Art, or the American Swedish Institute.
Food
The Twin Cities has amazing restaurant options for all kinds of eaters. Minnesota is home of the Juicy Lucy (a cheeseburger with the cheese inside the beef), which you can find at many restaurants. For those adventurous foodies who might be interested in splurging, Owamni (an indigenous restaurant) just won the James Beard award for Best Restaurant in America. And for our Vegan friends, we suggest the Herbivorous Butcher, a 100% vegan restaurant and "butcher" shop. Minneapolis and St. Paul are also home to many immigrant communities, which means there are great options to try new foods, such as Venezuelan, Somali, Hmong, or Ethiopian. These are just a few suggestions, feel free to reach out to the couple for a more specialized list of recommendations

Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by August 15th, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)
What will the weather be like?
Welcome to Minnesota, all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny, especially in early fall. The average temps are 39-59 degrees, but if it's a sunny day you will see many Minnesotans in shorts and t-shirts. We suggest checking the weekend weather report before packing, and plan on layers!
The ceremony will be held outside, with a covered roof. There may be heat lamps, but this is not guaranteed. Please plan on being able to be outside for at least an hour.
Where should I park?
There is plenty of parking at the vineyard, and a shuttle will be provided from the hotel. The venue allows overnight parking, so you can take a one-way trip back to the hotel at the end of the night and pick up your car the next morning.
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes!
What should I wear?
Please see our Schedule for the dress code.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, with heat lamps if needed. :) The reception will be inside.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. There are a bunch of grassy/dirt areas that you might have to walk in so wear chunky heels or boots. Can't have any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them on our app Joy.
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.
Are kids welcome?
Children are welcome for the ceremony and reception. We kindly ask that children under 5 be kept off the dance floor later in the evening.
