Schedule

Coming to Bristol

Note

Getting to the Venue

The Radnor Rooms is located on St Nicholas Street, a pedestrianised street with no vehicle access. We recommend staying in one of the many hotels within walking distance of the venue, but if you're travelling in by taxi/uber access to St Nicholas Street is possible from Baldwin Street or Broad Street.

Note

Staying in Bristol

There are some brilliant hotel options close to the venue to suit all budgets. If you're looking to splash out, the Bristol Marriott Royal or the Bristol Harbour Hotel might suit. For mid-range try the Mercure Grand or the Mercure Brigstow. There are also two Premier Inns close by: King Street and Finzel's Reach.
If a B&B is more your style, try the Brook Guest House in St Nicholas Market (just a stone's throw from the venue).
We also recommend checking Air BnB for holiday apartments. Last we checked, there were a number scattered around the venue that would make a great place to stay.

Note

Getting around Bristol

When getting from A to B we recommend using Uber. It's fast, reliable, and as you pay through your phone it means you don't need to carry wads of cash. The blue Bristol cabs (ran by the council) are also reliable and can be found at taxi stands at the train station and within the city centre hub.

Wedding Gifts

Kester and Laura love Japan, but have never travelled there together. They will be going out there in May 2023 and any contributions to help are greatly appreciated!

Any kind donations are best sent to:

All the Info

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by 31st May, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)

Where should I park?

If you are bringing a car, we suggest booking a hotel with parking space. The venue is on a pedestrianised street and no on-site parking is available.

What should I wear?

Please see our Schedule for the dress code.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Absolutely, please do! We won't be spending our mortgage money on a wedding photographer, so we encourage all guests to take as many photos as possible. We will be creating a Dropbox/Google Drive where you can deposit all your excellent snaps.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony is indoors, the reception is outdoors. In the event of glorious British summer showers, the venue will put up a marquee to keep us (reasonably) dry.

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, the venue isn't really suitable for lots of small humans. Regretfully, please foist your smalls on others for the evening, allowing you more time at the bar and on the dance floor.

Can I bring a plus one?

We've factored in that some of our fabulous friends might want to bring someone special with them. Just indicate on your RSVP who that someone is.

What time should I arrive?

The venue will open doors at 11AM. We recommend coming no later than 11:45 to ensure that you can be seated in time for the ceremony at 12 noon.

What time will the reception end?

We will need to start vacating the Radnor Rooms by 11pm. However, whilst you can't stay at the venue...you don't have to go home! As we're in the city centre, many alternative venues to carry on the party spirit are available.

Who should I contact with any questions?

You can contact Kester or Laura directly with any questions at all.
