Travel

Plane

Getting In

We recommend flying into Burbank Airport (BUR) or Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Without traffic, Burbank Airport is ~45 minutes from the venue and LAX is about an hour away.

Car

Getting Around

There are lots of car rental options. Valet parking will be provided at Saddlerock Ranch.

You may also use Uber or Lyft but given the venue's location in the hills, we hear it can be difficult to order one at the end of the night. We are currently looking into getting shuttle service back to the hotels in Agoura Hills and Westlake Village area at the end of the night. For those of you who prefer to take Uber/Lyft, this will take you back to an area where you'll be able to order one. Please RSVP online so that we can get a count and check back later for more info!

Note

Off the Beaten Path

Saddlerock Ranch is up in the hills. Please take this and LA traffic into consideration when planning your travel. Give yourself ample time to find the venue, as the ranch is large and has multiple sites. Be careful on the winding roads at night!

House

Airbnb & VRBO

Our wedding venue is up in the hills and our hotel blocks are further inland. If you want to stay closer to the shore, consider a vacation rental or a hotel/inn near the water.

Make sure you search online for the best prices and options!

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

Was the venue affected by the Woolsey fire in Malibu?

Unfortunately, yes. But what’s most important is that all the animals and people onsite are safe. Saddlerock Ranch is in the process of rebuilding and although the main house on the site we picked did burn down, the garden setting and all its trees were spared. By June, the ranch will look different.

Please note that the venue has a strict NO SMOKING policy.

Are kids welcome?

While we love your children, our wedding will be an adults only celebration.

How do I RSVP?

Online and/or mail RSVP info will be distributed with the formal invitations. Please RSVP; otherwise seats will not be available.

What time should I arrive?

4:00 pm

Can I bring a date?

The invitation only extends to the name(s) written on the formal invite.

Where should I park?

Valet parking will be provided.

You may also use Uber or Lyft but given the venue's location in the hills, we hear it can be difficult to order one at the end of the night. From 9:30pm to 1:30am, there will be a 24-passenger shuttle making rounds from the venue to the Sheraton in Agoura Hills (and Westlake Village if you're staying at the Four Seasons or Westlake Village Inn). For those of you who prefer to take Uber/Lyft, this will take you back to an area where you'll be able to order one.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes. It's not the easiest given the terrain and cobblestone but the garden does have several paths and astroturf.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Both the ceremony and reception will be taking place outdoors. In the event of rain, tents will be provided.

What should I wear?

Formal attire (suit & tie for men). Bring a jacket or warm sweater in case it gets chilly.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

The ceremony will be on grass and the reception will have turf. We recommend shoes you can dance in. Wear stilettos at your own risk!

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Feel free to take pictures but we ask that you do not get in the way of our professional photographers and videographers. Photos and video will be shared with all guests once available.

Will you have babysitters on the premises?

No. Our wedding is adults only.

Will food be served?

Duh! We will have hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, a traditional 10-course Chinese dinner, cake, desserts, and a late night snack.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

If you require a vegetarian meal, please note that on the RSVP.

What time will the reception end?

No later than midnight. Join us for desserts and late night snacks!

Will last names be changing after the wedding?

Linda loves her last name and will not be changing it. She’s offered to share Sin with Chi, but no deal so far.

Story

We met in 2012! According to Chi, it was because Linda lied about living in San Gabriel when she actually lived in South Pasadena at the time. He says he never would have agreed to a date if he had known that he'd have to drive those extra miles.

During our first date, Linda shocked Chi by gobbling down a huge plate of food. Chi then won Linda over by taking her to see a Batman show and a Dodger game. It's been fun times and random shenanigans since.

We hope you enjoy our wedding day, where we'll be bringing together our favorite people for yet another fun day together.

Tidbits

What's your favorite activity together?

We love to zipline, get foot massages or facials, check out new restaurants, and catch Dodger games.

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

Anywhere with trees or beaches! We're hoping to make it to Australia, New Zealand and/or Bora Bora in the near future.

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

This is a tough one. It's a three-way tie.

We explored Dublin, Ireland together in 2015 where Chi ran his first half marathon.

A couple months later, we rang in 2016 with a road trip up the California coast. It was one of our most relaxing and carefree weeks together. We took our sweet time and didn't have any of our lodging planned out before taking off. To top it off, we randomly ended up on a sport fishing boat on New Year's Eve with front row seats to the fireworks display in San Francisco.

And in 2017, Chi proposed to Linda amidst a flurry of activities on the beautiful island of Kaui. Our travels are always action-packed and Kaui was no exception.

What was your most memorable date?

BATMAN! Chi got us tickets to a Batman show at the Staples Center and it was super fun — there were pyrotechnics and all sorts of craziness. Then over fondue, we chatted about our families and upbringing. Chi grew up in Echo Park and Linda spent half her childhood in Wichita Falls, TX before the family moved to San Gabriel.

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

It's hard to choose. Linda would pick the Bazaar by Jose Andres because Chi's initial impressions of each course were hilarious. Chi would go with Mastro's because he gets a kick out of Linda eating gigantic rib-eye steaks and WARM BUTTER CAKE.

We also love getting together with family and friends for meals.

Registry

For a couple of years we’ve lived in sin (with our parents’ approvals) and we don't really need anything new. In all seriousness, we have almost everything we could possibly want and the greatest present is your presence on our wedding day! If you insist on a gift, a card box will be available for those who would like to follow the Chinese red envelope tradition.
We sincerely thank you all for being our dearest family and friends.
