Story
Mitch wanted a change of scenery and moved to Portland eight years ago. On a whim he picked a place off Craigslist and moved into a house with five other guys (shout out Hoyt House!) Thanks to mutual friends in that house, we met in 2015 and saw each other throughout the years until fast forwarding to 2018. Mitch temporarily moved back to Kansas for the majority of that year, but when he came back in the fall there were some sparks flying at an Oregon football game. After a few months of flirtation, Mitch asked out Lindsay for a first date in January of 2019. We were both doing Dry January but went to a popular Russian restaurant, Kachka, known for their vodka tastings. All that to say, we made it a through a semi-awkward first date and were basically inseparable from that point on. Three months later, Mitch solidified things by saying "wait, you're my girlfriend, right?" And the rest is history! :)
Tidbits
How did you first meet?
See Our Story!
How did he propose?
Mitch proposed at Sunset Rock - a short hike from the Keever Kabin (Lindsay's aunt and uncle's cabin), a place we've spent a lot of time together at and means a lot to us. We came back from the hike to a surprise celebration with Lindsay's closest friends, one who had flown in from LA for the occasion. It was a very meaningful and special day for us both!
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
We will be going to Europe! Amsterdam, Paris, Lake Annecy and Barcelona. Excited for our first European vacation together.
What's your favorite activity together?
We love to try new restaurants, enjoy patio dining, hiking, anything on a body of water, cook, play games and travel! Mitch is still trying to convince Lindsay to take up golf...
What's the best meal you have eaten together?
Mitch's 30th birthday dinner at Lechon - amazing, unique food, great vibe, and a fun night of celebration!
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
We've been lucky enough to travel to quite a few places together. Our recent trip to Cabo San Lucas for Lindsay's 30th with our friends will be hard to beat! Pools, beaches, boats and tequila - no complaints!
We are regulars at
John’s Marketplace to check out their amazing selection of beers

Q & A
I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?
Please see our Travel page for details!
What will the weather be like?
Welcome to Oregon, all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be tricky, especially in the springtime. I would expect mild weather and the possibility of rain - bring layers
What should I wear?
We would love to see all our guests use our wedding as an excuse to dress up! Please dress in cocktail attire.
Can I bring a date?
Please check your invite for your +1! They will be clearly listed there. To keep our wedding intimate we are not including +1s beyond what's on your invite.
Are kids welcome?
While we absolutely love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adult-only event so that everyone can drink, relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time for your kids so you can celebrate with us! Please use this as a Date Night opportunity!
Where should I park?
There is street parking available, as well as a parking lot nearby on Irving between 12th and 13th
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
We will be indoors for both the ceremony and reception
Will last names be changing after the wedding?
Yes! Lindsay will officially become a Cain after the wedding
