Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

Where should I park?

There are a few public parking lots around the Montvale. We recommend the lot on the East corner of 1st and Monroe St. Also, the lots on Railroad Alley and Monroe, and Railroad Alley and Lincoln are easily accessible.

What should I wear?

Cocktail Attire

What will the weather be like?

The weather in Washington can be funny. It's more promising to be sunny and warm on the east side. The majority of the day will be indoors so you should have nothing to worry about!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony and reception will be indoors. There will be A/C in both the church and venue!

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.
However, we would love for you to take photos and share them on our app Joy during the reception (scroll to bottom for app information).

Can I bring a date?

Please check your invite for your +1!

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids. Please reach out if you have questions!

We recommend flying into Spokane International Airport (GEG).

Getting Downtown

There are many ways to get downtown! Spokane has several car rental options as well as Lyft and Uber which are relatively inexpensive. The drive from the airport to downtown Spokane is 10-15 minutes.

Story

Maddie and Willis met at Apple Cup weekend during their senior year at WSU (Go Cougs!). They were both having a night out with friends at Valhalla. Will recognized one of his good high school friends, Meg Spak (formerly Spiegelberg), who was with Maddie. He came over and introduced himself to Maddie. Later they were both at the infamous Mikes/Stubblefields. Will walked up to Maddie with the one liner "you're the most beautiful girl I've seen on campus." Maddie called b.s but Will was persistent. He won her heart with her favorite Tin Tan Tacos and stargazing while they talked for hours that night. They have been inseparable ever since.

After graduation and a few years of distance dating, Will moved to Ballard with his best friend Eric and Maddie moved to Ballard with her cousin Meagan. They all had too much fun for the two years they lived there. After 5 years of dating, Will and Maddie moved in together in Kirkland, where they still live.

They enjoy hanging out with family and friends, paddle boarding, hiking, traveling, wine, and going on adventures. Now a new adventure awaits!
