Story

Like a lot of millennial couples, we met online! She messaged first, he asked her to dinner, and the rest is pretty much self-explanatory!

Tidbits

How did you first meet?

Like a lot of millennial couples, we met online!

Who made the first move? How?

She messaged first, commenting how she loved his red Jeep Wrangler. Ironically, he traded it in weeks after they started dating, but she still stuck around.

What's your favorite activity together?

Eating, cooking, and walking our dogs, Gnocchi & Cannoli. Did we mention we love food?

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Our last trip to Vegas: we got engaged!

How did he propose?

He suggested dinner at Buddy V's on the Vegas strip. We lucked out and somehow got the best seat in the restaurant! When she went to take a picture of the charcuterie board, he pulled out the ring, and the restaurant celebrated by providing champagne and dessert!

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

We have blocked rooms at a discounted rate at the Hyatt House, but there are plenty of hotels options throughout the city that would be a short drive or Uber ride away! Stay with us at the Hyatt House, or stay where you love to rack up points.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by April 2nd so you have a place to sit and a meal to eat.

Can I bring a date?

Unfortunately no, Jeff has a big Italian family and our venue has a strict guest maximum.

Are kids welcome?

We wish we could invite everyone, however this will be an adults only event.

Where should I park?

Parking is available at the Hyatt. Make sure to tell them you're here for the Giuliana wedding! There are also several parking garages within walking distance, pricing varies. You can also try to snag street parking, but we can't guarantee you'll have luck on a Saturday in the Southside!

What time should I arrive?

Ceremony starts at 5 o'clock sharp, so give yourself ample time to park and grab your seat! We suggest you arrive around 4:30PM.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, and our reception will be in a tent. However, if there is rain, the ceremony will be moved to under the tent.

What will the weather be like?

Pittsburgh weather it unpredictable! It can snow one day, and be a sunny 82° the next. The ceremony and reception will be outside and tented, but we suggest you bring options for all weather, and keep your eye on the forecast!

What should I wear?

Dawn says cocktail attire. Jeff says absolutely no denim.

Are there any colors that guests should avoid wearing?

We shouldn't have to say this, but please don't wear white. As tradition, this color is for the bride (and groom!).

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Like most couples, we hired professional photographers to capture our big day, so please refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony.

Will there be dancing?

If you've been to a March family wedding, you know the only time the dance floor will be empty is during dinner!

What should/could I do between the ceremony and the reception?

Once we're announced as Mr. & Mrs., the bar opens up and the party gets started! There's no downtime to fill, so you don't need to worry about finding a place for your pre-dinner dinner.

What time will the reception end?

Because the hotel is an extended stay hotel, there are restrictions to how late we can party all night long. The wedding will end at 10:30PM, but the party will continue down the street at Hofbrahaus! Join us for pretzels and pints!

Is there a gifts registry?

We have a home filled with things. What we'd really appreciate is a fence for Gnocchi & Cannoli and a deck to enjoy all of Jeff's grilling. However, for those of you who would like to purchase a gift, you can find our registries at Target and on Amazon.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

We're having a buffet and are confident we'll have something for everyone, but please reach out to us with any dietary concerns.

Will there be any activities happening that I need to know about?

A wedding isn't enough for you?! Weather pending, there will be a fire pit and corn hole at our reception. After the wedding, those who want to keep the party going are invited to join us down the street at Hofbrahaus for a drink!

Are your dogs really going to be in the wedding?

DUH.
