Our Hawiian Wedding
Our wedding trip to Hawaii was a whirlwind of adventure, filled with beautiful moments and unexpected turns. Originally planning to elope on Ironwood Beach in Maui, wildfires on the west side of the island forced us to make a quick change, and we replanned our wedding on Kauai with just seven days' notice.
From the moment we arrived on Kauai, we were welcomed by the warm Hawaiian breeze and the soothing sound of crashing waves. Our time on the island was a celebration of the outdoors and its stunning beauty.
Highlights included hiking the magnificent Canyon Trail at Waimea Canyon, marveling at sea turtles and seals on Poipu Beach at night, visiting the enchanting Rainbow Eucalyptus trees, and exploring the Kilauea Lighthouse with its panoramic coastal views.
On Tuesday, August 15th, our wedding day arrived, and it was pure magic. We exchanged vows at sunrise on the cliffs of Shipwreck Beach, with a passing rain shower blessing us with a magnificent rainbow overhead. A champagne toast and cake cutting during a delightful breakfast picnic followed. That evening, a romantic sunset cruise along the Napali Coastline provided a breathtaking end to our special day.
After our time on Kauai, we flew to Lanai for two serene days, where we hiked to Sweetheart Rock for a sunrise view and enjoyed snorkeling and relaxation at the beach and pool.
Our adventure continued on Oahu, where we explored various beaches and breweries, from Lanikai and Ka'a'awa beaches to visits to Honolulu, Aloha, and Kona Breweries. We also discovered the Banyan Trees at Kawela Bay, explored Halona Cove, hiked Diamond Head, and snorkeled at Hanauma Bay. Though we missed seeing surfers at Banzai Pipeline, the surf culture was vibrant near our hotel in Waikiki.
We fell in love with Hawaii, and while our trip was packed with memories, there's still much more we want to explore on our next visit. Hawaii holds a special place in our hearts, and we're grateful for the unforgettable moments we shared.
