Travel
Getting In
For those of you coming from outside of California, traveling to Ojai is easy peasy. It’s an hour's drive from the Santa Barbara airport or about an hour and a half from Los Angeles Airport and Burbank Airport (depending on traffic). If you’re coming from LAX, make sure to drive along the Pacific Coast Highway (Hwy 1) for some beautiful views. On the way, you can make a pit stop in Malibu to watch the surfers or grab some grub from Neptune’s Net at the Ventura County Line.
The Town of Ojai
Ojai is a small, high desert town set in the valley of the Topatopa Mountains. It’s incredibly walkable and bike-friendly, with a village-like center dotted with art galleries, restaurants, and one of the coolest bookstores you'll ever visit. There are plenty of hiking trails, golfing, horseback riding, and the beach is just twenty minutes down the mountain.
Summer is the high season in Ojai. Please make your arrangements as soon as possible for the best rates and availability. Below are some recommendations!
Ojai Rancho Inn
We will be staying here and have booked out this hotel. So please feel free to come hang out with us here. The rooms have already been assigned for this hotel.
Ojai Valley Inn
Ojai Valley Inn is a short drive outside town. It’s a beautiful luxury resort with consequently higher room rates. They have a golf course, a famous spa, and several restaurants on the grounds. Non-guests can book a spa treatment and get access to the pools. Also, non-guests can go to any of their restaurants, get drinks, and walk around their gardens.
Capri Hotel & Hummingbird Hotel
Capri Hotel and Hummingbird Inn are sister hotels to the Rancho Inn. They vary in pricing and are located on the other side of town (only 1.2 miles away)!
Hummingbird is more affordable-- they are undergoing renovations right now, but should be ready by June!
Emerald Iguana and Blue Iguana Hotels
Emerald Iguana Inn and Blue Iguana are great spots with pools, spas, and beautiful nature areas. Emerald Iguana is walkable to the town center. And Blue Iguana is an easy drive just down the road.
Ojai Vacation Home Rentals
There are plenty of home rentals to book through Air BnB and VRBO if you prefer to go that route. Make sure to check where the location is, as some will be outside of town, and you'll need to drive.

Hiking
Lots of great trails from easy to full-day affairs. Shelf Road & Pratt Trail are a few faves.
Go to the beach! Rincon/ Bates is the best. Take Highway 150 from Ojai, it's a gorgeous 30-minute drive, and it leads you directly there.

What will the weather be like?
June is Ojai is beautiful! It should be around the high 70s and low 80s during the day and dips down to the 50s at night. We're in the high desert, so bring layers. It's not too rainy that time of year, but check the weather before you come!
Where should I park?
We encourage you to park at your hotel and walk around the town! We will provide transportation when necessary, and Ubers/Lyfts are available when needed.
What should I wear?
Please see our Schedule for the dress code.

Our wedding ceremony is most likely outdoors, but our reception will be in a restaurant with indoor and outdoor settings.
