Staying at Roche Harbor Resort
We highly recommend you stay at Roche Harbor Resort, as this will be the easiest way to attend wedding related events. Our ceremony and reception is on property at Roche Harbor, and it'll make your transportation a breeze!
Getting In: To Seattle
We recommend flying into Seattle–Tacoma International Airport!

Getting In: By Ferry
The most common way to get to Roche Harbor is to take the ferry to Friday Harbor. For our friends that are driving onto the ferry, we recommend reserving ferry spots as soon as possible and getting to the ferry terminal with plenty of time to spare. Ferry reservations are opened two months prior to travel date, so if you are driving make sure to mark your calendars for March 1st! They will release more ferry reservations periodically as well before travel, so if you don't see any available now don't worry.
If you do not show up at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure of the ferry, you will lose your reservation. Traffic to Anacortes can be tricky especially on weekends, so plan for plenty of time.
Getting to Roche Harbor: By Car
The drive from Friday Harbor to Roche Harbor takes about 20 minutes. If you prefer to walk on to the ferry, you can pay to park at the ferry terminal in Anacortes. San Juan Island has Ubers and Taxis that you can utilize.
Getting to Roche Harbor: By Plane
Feeling adventurous? Want to try a seaplane? There are a number of options for flying into Roche Harbor for those of you looking for something different!
Ferry and lodging bookings can be competitive, please make your arrangements as soon as possible for the best rates and availability.

Tidbits
How did you first meet?
While in college, Natalie was dragged to Theta Chi to meet the big of one of her close friends. Natalie was filled with shock and maybe some disgust, as she walked into the room to see her sweet friend's big, Matt, drinking a beer with a device that his friends called "the knockout". We wouldn't call it love at first sight, but it was the start of a strong friendship that eventually grew to something greater.
Who's going to take out the trash?
Matt <3 thanks bb
What was your most memorable date?
Not sure if it counts as a date, but on our way to a family trip, just after we locked the door to Matt's apartment and locked Matt's bike to the car, Natalie dropped Matt's car keys (and all other keys) down a storm drain. A rainstorm and call to the city later, we finally gave up and used the spare key. We got there eventually but it was an adventure!
What's your favorite activity together?
We love to go bouldering all year and paddle boarding on Lake Union in the summer!
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
Anywhere with beautiful beaches!
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
Summer of 2022 we were fortunate enough to attend two weddings internationally. We went to Italy, Portugal, and Turkey! It was truly the summer of a lifetime and a perfect celebration of our engagement.
What's the best meal you have eaten together?
In the beginning of the pandemic, Matt moved in with Natalie and her roommate, Will. Natalie and Will decided to start a weekly tradition where we would make dinner family style, rotating who was responsible for cooking. Matt quickly learned that Natalie and Will loved this tradition and would constantly try to make the next show-stopping feast. For the low price of managing one instant pot meal per week, Matt got to eat the greatest food of his life.
The most spontaneous thing we’ve done
Adopted a chinchilla! His name is Albert, and if you ask nicely Natalie will show you pictures of him wearing tiny hats (she will also do this if you don't ask at all).
The dorkiest thing about us is
Matt, probably :)
A social cause we care about
Universal healthcare
We are regulars at
Cantinetta, Fremont Bowl, and Mirch Masala takeout!
Registry
Your presence is enough of a present to us! But for those of you who are stubborn, we've put together a wish-list to help you out.
Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A!
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by March 1st, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)
Can I bring a date?
Please check your invite for your +1!
Are kids welcome?
As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids, so please know they are welcome at the Friday welcome event and Sunday brunch! We can also assist in finding babysitting during the event, or recommend exploring . Please reach out if you have questions!
What will the weather be like?
Roche Harbor is protected by the same rain shadow that makes Sequim the driest place in western Washington. However, the wedding is in Washington and in April, so its best to be prepared rain. Weather should fluctuate between 40°F and 60°F
Where should I park?
There is free parking at Roche Harbor by the Marina!
What should I wear?
Please see our Schedule for the dress code.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but our reception will be indoors.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
There are grassy/dirt areas that you will have to walk in, so you may find block heels are preferable to stilettos.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them with us.
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.
Whom should I call with questions?
Feel free to text Natalie at (425) 205-0796!
If you'd like Matt to ask Natalie for you, his phone number is (206) 200-7080!
