Story

In the fall of 2013 both Alyssa and Daniel turned to their favorite friend, the Internet, in order to find someone fun to hang out with. Daniel messaged Alyssa first with a cute comment about her pressed penny collection (a fun fact Alyssa listed on her OkCupid account) which turned into a few days of exchanged messages. Those few days turned into a week of text messaging before we both knew we had to meet in person.

We began our first date by meeting in the mall parking lot where we left to explore the Opryland hotel, have dinner, and play some video games.

We went on our second date three days later, and our third date was a day trip to Chattanooga three days after that.

After two and a half years of dating, Daniel popped the question on July 31st, 2016! We're so excited to marry each other!

Are kids welcome?

While we love your children dearly, we hope our wedding can be a time for the adults to enjoy themselves without keeping an eye on their little ones. Alyssa would be more than happy to put you in touch with some of her classmates at Vanderbilt who would be so excited to watch your kids while you have a well-deserved night of freedom!

What time should I arrive?

Please show up at least a few minutes before 5 pm so we can get the ceremony started right on time!

Where should I park?

Bottom View Farm has a pretty large lot so parking shouldn't be too much of an issue! Carpooling is recommended just for the ease in entering and exiting, but there is plenty of room for all!

What should I wear?

We suggest semiformal, but as long as you aren't in a wedding dress, we don't care too much!

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Heels are totally acceptable, but the walkways are gravel and the ceremony will be outside in the grass!
