Story

Meghan's version: Scott gives me a hard time for not really remembering the first official time we met but I do remember our first date after being good friends for some time. (For context, we were in classes and organizations together and both giant nerds in the business school.) It was Valentine's Day 2009 and Scott showed up with a single rose from Safeway. I would later learn that his roommate Joe (groomsman) told him he can't show up on Valentine's Day without flowers but Scott didn't want it to seem too over the top so he opted for a single rose. I also later learned he bought a new shirt for the occasion :) We went go kart racing (I was wearing a dress and wedges) and disagreed about what to order at the restaurant - needless to say it was an awkward date and we didn't hang out for a few months afterwards. Scott continued to try and make his move by winning over my friends & family... we finally got together once and for all 2 years after that awkward Valentine's Day. We've had the most wonderful journey together since living in New York City, traveling to Italy, Ireland, China, Cuba, along the east coast, and raising our handsome buddy Henry. I can't imagine a better partner to share life with!

Scott's version: I first set eyes on Meghan walking into the honors college Fall Semester Sophomore year. I couldn't think of anything to say so I asked Meghan the directions to a professor's office that I kind of already knew. Meghan giggled and said she didn't know and walked away.... and.... the rest was history!... So we actually met, met a few weeks later at the business school and started to get to know each other in the same circle of friends. Our friendship started to grow and awkwardly professors, friends, and family started pressuring us to date. Given I'm from Wyoming, a ways away from Arizona, Meghan invited me over to several of her family holidays and before you knew it I was working my way into the family! (Side fact - I have watched more movies with Meghan's mom Mary Beth than I have with Meghan). Needless to say, after we both graduated and realized we couldn't be in different cities, we made things official and I haven't looked back yet! I'm convinced that feeling of being the luckiest guy in the world is never going to wear off.
