The Proposal
8.9 years after we met Nolan decided it was time to pop the question (but who’s counting?) He takes his time with most decisions for those of you who don’t know. We had our annual December trip planned to New York where he was going to propose in Central Park. A month before the trip we were informed we had to cancel. “Stay home for 2 weeks” was now extended to month 8 and there was no chance we could still go. I was bummed because I look forward to that trip every year, so I started thinking of other places we could go instead. Good ol Florida came to the rescue! Disney World was open at 25% capacity and I was able to plan our whole trip in 20 minutes. We arrived in Orlando on December 9th 2020. The next day on December 10th 2020 we spent the whole day at magic kingdom, I had NO IDEA there was a Diamond ring in our backpack or that Nolan was thinking about proposing the entire day. 1 hour before the park closed we were getting ready to take a picture in front of the castle and I was trying to get on my good side when he grabbed me and said “It’s been 9 years, you’re my best friend, I love you and I want to know Will You Marry Me?” I was so shocked I forgot to say yes, but I do remember asking “are you serious?” Nolan said everyone there was cheering but I heard nothing, everything was quiet. It was in that moment I knew for sure this was my forever person. The next 3 days it was just us exploring all the parks and it was perfect.
How special that the resort we chose to get married at only have 5 dates available and the only date that worked for us was December 10th 2023 <3

Getting to the Resort
Transportation will be quoted and booked separately through Lomas Travel 30-45 days before traveling. Madison Ramirez will reach out for your flight information by October 15th. The cost of transportation is not included in your room reservation cost.

What will the weather be like?
What to wear in December?
With an average high of 80°F (27°C) and a low of 75°F (24°C), it generally feels very warm with a gentle breeze. With that in mind, most people would dress in something very light like linens and cottons.
What should I wear?
Please see our Schedule for the dress code.
What is Resort Attire?
Woman: Due to humidity light fabrics that do not cling to the body are best. Materials like linen, chiffon, organza, and even cotton blends or lace are light but can still look luxurious. Optional to bring a lightweight shawl in case some cool air moves in from the coast.
Men: Consider wearing linen or cotton. Typically slacks and a button-down shirt are best. Suits are not required, Ties are optional, Please no sandals.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony and reception are outdoors in the Central Garden.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels! The venue is in a large grassy areas, so think chunky heels or wedges. Men- please no sandals.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them on our app Joy.
However, we will be having an unplugged ceremony so please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.
Will you have babysitters on the premises?
The resort offers a kids club and teens club as well as babysitting.
Is there a gifts registry?
Although your presence and commitment to traveling to Mexico is already more than enough for us, we do have a registry if you feel inclined to send us a gift.
