Story
I first met Paul in high school at a basketball game. I recall one of our first dates he took me to a game that ended at a local McDonalds where a very intense food fight ensued! The entire place was chaos (in the days of the movie Animal House)! He was a kind and honest boy. He stole my heart. We dated on and off throughout high school and early college. Unfortunately, we lost track of each other some time during the college years. I’d always wondered how he was and thought of him often throughout the years. To tell the truth, I did pine for him. Many times I dreamt of him. Well, to make a long story short, 32 years later we reconnected on (surprise) Facebook! 😂 The rest is history. We don’t have a perfect history, but we love each other deeply and that’s what’s important. We really hope you’ll appreciate our story and that you’ll join us on our most special day. ❤️
Tidbits
How did you first meet?
See Our Story!
Who made the first move? How?
We were only 15 and 16 years old. Paul told a friend that he was going to call me. He asked me to a rock concert but I was so scared at 15 that I made an excuse, saying that my mom wouldn’t let me go to concerts. Later we went on our first date to see, “The Who,” on screen at the local drive in theater. The rest is history!
What's your favorite activity together?
We love traveling together! We’ve had several wonderful vacations including a couple trips to England, several cruises, France, and a trip to Buenos Aries where we saw a very intense history, through dance, of the tango.
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
We’re going on a cruise visiting several coastal cities of Australia and New Zealand!
What's the best meal you have eaten together?
We were visiting the House of Remi (Remi Martin) in Cognac, France. We were treated to a five course meal prepared by the family chef himself! During the meal we engaged in the Louis XIII experience which was extraordinary!
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
It’s a toss up between France where we visited Reims, the Loire Valley, Bordeaux and Paris and our recent trip to Alaska by land and by cruise!
We’re on the same page about
The older you grow the more set in your ways you become. We have both committed to accepting each other for who we are. We love each other, not just the parts that are attractive but the unattractive as well. We give each other room to be imperfect. We’re finding that life works much better that way.
A life goal of ours
Many of our goals have been met in life. At this time our desire is just to appreciate each day as it comes and enjoy each other’s company!
The most spontaneous thing we’ve done
One day Paul said he’d like to go to Philadelphia and have a Philly Cheesesteak! So the next day we hopped on a plane and did just that! It was a blast! We left at 5 AM, toured downtown, saw the Liberty Bell, took a horse drawn carriage around town, had our Philly Cheesesteaks, and made it home by 11 PM that evening!
We are regulars at
Local street markets, art galleries and museums. We absolutely love and collect art pieces. We really appreciate various artists past and present.
We take pride in
Helping others. Paul is famous at our condo building for the cookies and other things he bakes and gives away by the dozens! We’ve also hosted several gatherings where Paul grills hotdogs and brats! Mostly I am Paul’s assistant 😂but I have so much admiration for who he is because he’s always helping others and I’ve learned so much from his giving attitude. I hope that someday I can find a way to help others as much as I’ve seen him do.

Registry
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. The most important thing to us is that you are able to celebrate with us on our wedding day. However, if you wish to give a gift, we will gratefully accept a contribution towards our honeymoon. A card box will be available at the reception.
Travel
Getting In
We recommend flying into either the Tampa International Airport (TPA) or St. Pete/Clearwater International Airport (PIE).
Airlines that operate out of TPA are Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta, Frontier, Jet Blue, Southwest, Spirit and United. This airport is approximately 30 to 45 minutes from the Hollander Hotel depending on the time of day and traffic patterns.
Allegiant and Sun Country operate out of PIE. PIE is approximately 21 minutes from St Petersburg. Again timeframe will depend on time of day.
Getting Downtown
There are several ways to get downtown! There are rental car options, and Lyft and Uber are also available. St Pete is across Tampa Bay and you will likely cross the Howard Franklin bridge from TPA. PIE is on the St Pete side of Tampa Bay and is, therefore, a shorter ride.
February is part of the high season in Florida. Please make your arrangements as soon as possible for the best rates and availability.

What will the weather be like?
Welcome to St. Petersburg, Florida! We locals call it St. Pete. (Not to be confused with St. Pete Beach) This is a beautiful city with a smaller town feel. There are blocks and blocks of restaurants, bars, artsy shops, a downtown movie theater, a few stage theaters, some art galleries and more! Many of the buildings are historic and were built around the early 1920s.
The average temperature in St. Pete in February for a typical day ranges from a high of 71°F to a low of 58°F. Conditions could be described as mildly cool with a gentle breeze. Shorts are fine for daywear. Pack a back up pair of pants just in case. A light sweater or wrap may be needed at night. Please check the week’s local weather predictions before travel.
Where should I park?
There is plenty of free parking at Our Savior Lutheran Church where the ceremony and reception will be held. Overflow parking is available on the side street next to the church.
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes.
What should I wear?
Dress is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Please no jeans or t-shirts.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and reception are both indoors with the cocktail hour being held in a covered outdoor courtyard adjacent to the reception area.

Whatever you are comfortable wearing! 😌
