Story

Initially we met online and talked on the phone for hours the first night. It was at the Pleasant Hill Bart Station where we first laid eyes on each other. It was comfortable and easy meeting. He selected the restaurant for sushi, and I picked the movie ‘Kicks’ about kids growing up in Richmond, Ca filmed locally and playing only at the Grand Lake in Oakland.

Tidbits

How did you first meet?

See Our Story!

Who made the first move? How?

He made the first move asking for my phone number and after about two weeks and our third date, we had our first kiss.

Who's going to take out the trash?

Whoever happens to be closer to the trash :)

What was your most memorable date?

We've had lots of fun dates, but one of our first adventures we remember daily is a hike in Big Sur in which we blew up one of the pictures from McWay Falls and now hangs in our family room. We considered Big Sur and surrounding area as a wedding option too.

What's your favorite activity together?

We love to explore and be outdoors, especially at the beach. #VanLife :-)

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

We'll be combining our wedding ceremony and honeymoon by being in paradise. We have some tours and activities in mind like rafting through caves and lounging in hammocks on the beach.

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

Our best date meal was a tradition passed on by my dad and Yvonne to go to Nick’s in Pacifica and have crab sandwiches with bloody mary’s on New Year’s Day. Since we’re foodies we have too many of these to list, lol.

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Since we both love fireworks we took a trip to Idaho Falls to watch the biggest show this side of the Mississippi and it was amazing!!! After the big show we hung out on the streets and watched individuals with their personal firework shows while firefighters hung out and watched, and everyone had a great time.
We were also able to explore a hiking trail with a waterfall and a reservoir with boating and fishing.

We’re on the same page about

What's important to us is being available for our kids, family and loving our fur kids. We enjoy simplicity. It’s just stuff but experiences last a lifetime.

A life goal of ours

Would be to be grandparents, but just in case that doesn’t happen we’d like to build a permanent home on the cabin property and retire on an island.

The dorkiest thing about us is

That I’ll dance to anything, and he’ll sing to any song. And Steve will pick up a random stranger's baby instantly soothing him or her. We've recently learned this is a Korean thing.

A social cause we care about

Is for children and animals that can’t defend themselves.

We take pride in

The cabin is something we both really work hard for and invest in. Maintaining our five star review means a lot to us. Sharing the magic of the cabin with others and them appreciating our hard work brings us happiness.

We are regulars at

Family Day Spa, Damo sushi and Brenda’s boat launch just outside Jenner where we camp on the ocean beach. It was also a spot we considered for the wedding.
