Michelle & Steven's Special Day

We'd love to share our special day with you recapping our Ceremony in Paradise!!

Story

Initially we met online and talked on the phone for hours the first night. It was at the Pleasant Hill Bart Station where we first laid eyes on each other. It was comfortable and easy meeting. He selected the restaurant for sushi, and I picked the movie ‘Kicks’ about kids growing up in Richmond, Ca filmed locally and playing only at the Grand Lake in Oakland.

Tidbits

How did you first meet?

See Our Story!

Who made the first move? How?

He made the first move asking for my phone number and after about two weeks and our third date, we had our first kiss.

Who's going to take out the trash?

Whoever happens to be closer to the trash :)

What was your most memorable date?

We've had lots of fun dates, but one of our first adventures we remember daily is a hike in Big Sur in which we blew up one of the pictures from McWay Falls and now hangs in our family room. We considered Big Sur and surrounding area as a wedding option too.

What's your favorite activity together?

We love to explore and be outdoors, especially at the beach. #VanLife :-)

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

We'll be combining our wedding ceremony and honeymoon by being in paradise. We have some tours and activities in mind like rafting through caves and lounging in hammocks on the beach.

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

Our best date meal was a tradition passed on by my dad and Yvonne to go to Nick’s in Pacifica and have crab sandwiches with bloody mary’s on New Year’s Day. Since we’re foodies we have too many of these to list, lol.

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Since we both love fireworks we took a trip to Idaho Falls to watch the biggest show this side of the Mississippi and it was amazing!!! After the big show we hung out on the streets and watched individuals with their personal firework shows while firefighters hung out and watched, and everyone had a great time.
We were also able to explore a hiking trail with a waterfall and a reservoir with boating and fishing.

We’re on the same page about

What's important to us is being available for our kids, family and loving our fur kids. We enjoy simplicity. It’s just stuff but experiences last a lifetime.

A life goal of ours

Would be to be grandparents, but just in case that doesn’t happen we’d like to build a permanent home on the cabin property and retire on an island.

The dorkiest thing about us is

That I’ll dance to anything, and he’ll sing to any song. And Steve will pick up a random stranger's baby instantly soothing him or her. We've recently learned this is a Korean thing.

A social cause we care about

Is for children and animals that can’t defend themselves.

We take pride in

The cabin is something we both really work hard for and invest in. Maintaining our five star review means a lot to us. Sharing the magic of the cabin with others and them appreciating our hard work brings us happiness.

We are regulars at

Family Day Spa, Damo sushi and Brenda’s boat launch just outside Jenner where we camp on the ocean beach. It was also a spot we considered for the wedding.

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by March 1st 2024, so we can have an accurate headcount.
However, for the best pricing we recommend you book travel six months in advance and email esmy@sandypointresorts.com ASAP to reserve your room. :)

What will the weather be like?

Welcome to Paradise, all of you out-of-towners! Pack your bathing suits and plan to show off them curves because the Carribean weather is great for achy bones or sore muscles ranging in the mid 80's to 90's during the day.
Pack your shorts, flip flops and fun summer dresses with sand friend sandals.

What should I wear?

Please see our Schedule for the dress code. Comfortable and feeling Fabulous attire recommended.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but our reception will be at a neighboring resort poolside :)

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. Instead grab a pair of chunky heels or sandals. Can't have any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles.

Or just go shoeless and enjoy the sand in-between your toes.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them on our app Joy or tag us in your social media.
However, please be discreet from taking photos during the ceremony if the professional photographer is taking a larger group shot.

Whom should I call with questions?

Please call our lovely wedding coordinator Esmy with question at 1-844-360-1553 or send her an email at esmy@sandypointresorts.com. Keep me in the loop and I'll help anyway I can.

Will you live stream your ceremony?

Yes, we will be looking for live streaming options for the ceremony for those that wish to join in from a far.

Does your wedding have a theme?

The theme is Caribbean bright colors of happiness and joy!!
Bring your flawless insecure free zone, curve hugging, full makeup and fabulous look attire for our wedding photos. Shine bright like a diamond!!!

Will there be any activities happening that I need to know about?

Oh yes we’ll be exploring but depending on what day you get in depends on how much you give yourself the joys of happiness.
You’re worth a week in pure love and relaxation.

What are the stay accommodation options?

Belizean Shores is a family style resort that offers single rooms and family rooms with private rooms, a loft and sofa sleeper for up to six per unit. The resort is part of a larger group of resorts that esmy@sandypointresorts.com can help you with for more options.

Short History of Belize
