Story

We first met from a mutual friend (thanks George) on our way to Huntington Beach at a bonfire in the summer of 2010. We got to the beach and wanted to get something to eat, so we decided to walk as a group to get food. However, when it was time to go George decided not to come with us, so it ended up being the two of us walking together. We got to Subway and started arguing about who would pay for the food. The cashier then asked us if we were a couple which we were both quick to say no. As we walked back to the beach, we asked each other why we had never crossed paths at school before. Little did we know the cashier saw something we didn't see at the time...and the rest is history.

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by September 1st, 2022 so we can have an accurate headcount.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive no later than 4 pm.

Can I bring a date?

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one this will appear under your name when you RSVP.

Are kids welcome?

This will be an adults-only event with the exception of select children. If your children are not listed on your invitation, please make prior arrangements. Bring your dancing shoes and enjoy date night with us!

What should I wear?

The attire will be formal/black tie optional. For women, this generally means a full-length silhouette. Women can wear a floor-length gown, knee-length cocktail dress or a nice pantsuit. For men, a tux isn't required, but welcomed. Men can wear a dark suit with a shirt and tie (if they do not wish to wear a tuxedo).

What will the weather be like?

During the day the weather should be beautiful, averaging 80-85 degrees. However, it might get chilly at night so please bring a light jacket in case.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony and reception will be fully outdoors. Please dress accordingly.

Where should I park?

There will be valet parking and an employee will park your car for you.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony (no phones or cameras). This means that we kindly ask that all phones and devices be put away and put on silent/turned off during the ceremony. Why? We've hired a professional to capture this moment for us so please allow them to do their best work. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like.

Is there a COVID-19 protocol?

We want all of our guests to feel safe and have fun! Keep an eye out for this section of the site. We are closely monitoring CDC guidelines and local COVID numbers and will decide if we will implement a testing policy as our wedding date gets closer. As of right now, please do not attend if you are feeling sick or have been in contact with someone with COVID one week prior to the wedding.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the venue?

There is no transportation however we suggest taking an Uber or Lyft to the venue. If taking an Uber/Lyft please plan accordingly as the venue is located in a mountain-y area. We will have an open bar and want to make sure everyone gets back safely.

Will there be an open bar?

It wouldn't be a Nicole and Shawn wedding if we didn't have unlimited amounts of alcohol. Drinks are on us!

Registry

Your presence is enough of a present to us! However, if you do wish to celebrate with a gift, we've put together a wish-list to help you out.
