Story

Our Stories:

Ibilola said : Deji and I met in 2016, He came into our Foreshore Towers Branch for a transaction. I noticed the tellers were struggling to attend to his request, I stepped in to assist.
A few days later I was waiting in the lobby with my colleagues and he walked over and requested for my number. On the 17th of May which was my birthday, Tolu and Tosin (my colleagues) invited him to the branch to celebrate with me. Afterwards we went out for dinner, the rest is history.

Deji Said: I was posted back to Nigeria on a short assignment in 2016 and went down stairs of my office block into the bank for a transaction but was immediately gobsmacked when I saw beautiful Ibilola sitting far behind the Teller working on my transaction. I immediately started to wish and pray that she would somehow have a reason to stand up and assist her colleague who was attending to Me. Lo and behold, the transaction proved a bit difficult and she had to step in to assist her colleague which was an immediate answer to my prayers. I said hello to her and was planning to find out a bit more about her when my account officer came to request that I should also open an account for my wife but when I replied I was not married she immediately said she was going to introduce me to a colleague named Ibilola not knowing that she already caught my eye in the banking hall earlier in the morning. She also gave me Ibilola’ s phone number but as fate will have it I bumped into Ibilola again at the close of work and actually formally requested her phone number. We went on a couple of dates thereafter, but I lost touch with her after a while when I travelled abroad, and she was transferred to another branch with a poor phone network. A year later I relocated back to the UK we reconnected after I stumbled on her picture on IG and the rest is history. “And It came to pass that we are actually getting married.
