Story
The first time we met was through friends, at a party. I thought he was so handsome, and never thought I'd have a chance! We probably had one conversation and then didn't speak to each other again. Two years later, at the same friend's wedding (our bridesmaid and groomsman, Ashley and Griffin!), we met again and the rest is history.
I was living in Florida, he was here in Washington, so the first six months of our relationship was long distance! We made it work with long phone-calls, movie-dates over FaceTime, and visiting each other whenever we could. We took our first actual vacation together to NYC, at Christmas time. Just a few short months later, COVID reared its ugly head. I was already planning on moving to Seattle summer of 2020, but we decided to move it up to March. I've been here ever since and it's been so amazing.
Tidbits
How did you first meet?
See our story!
Who made the first move? How?
Max made the first move by texting Olivia the day after the wedding! He was also the first one to call.
What was your most memorable date?
The first time Max visited Florida, we went to the Melting Pot and then putt-putt. We consider that our first date!
What's your favorite activity together?
We love to go on walks and play video games. During the summer, we like to paddle-board and read at Gasworks Park.
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
TBD, but somewhere with beaches where we can relax and just hangout.
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
We went to NYC Christmas time 2019 and then again summer of 2022. It was magical both times!
The most spontaneous thing we’ve done
Moving Olivia to Seattle by road-tripping across the country, three months earlier than planned, during the "two-week" COVID crisis. Avoiding as many people as possible and making masks out of clothes.
We take pride in
Our beautiful cat Cranberry.
We’re on the same page about
Basically everything. We really lucked out in the soulmate department.

Travel
Getting In
We recommend flying into Seattle–Tacoma International Airport!
Getting Downtown
There a lots of ways to get in downtown! There are several car rental options, and Lyft and Uber are relatively inexpensive. If you are feeling more adventurous, the light rail is only a few dollars to downtown Seattle!
Summer is the high season in Seattle. Please make your arrangements as soon as possible for the best rates and availability.
We recommend staying in Redmond, if you wish to be closer to the venue, but even if you stay in downtown Seattle, it would only be a 30 minute ride to the wedding!
Willows Lodge
It’s the inner peace you’ve been seeking. Even better, it’s only 25 minutes from Seattle. Willows Lodge is located on five landscaped acres bordering the Sammamish River in the heart of Western Washington’s wine country. It’s a comfortable, luxurious haven where you can rejuvenate your senses and experience award-winning cuisine. It’s no wonder Willows was selected for Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List. This is the kind of comfortable luxury you can relax into.
***This is the venue! It is a hotel, but it can be pricy. Additionally, it is not available the night before the wedding, though it is the day of and after.****

Full kitchen and thoughtful amenities throughout. Back yard oasis to enjoy a meal, sit around the fire pit or relax in the sun. Pet friendly with miles of walking trails accessible from the home.

Hyatt House Seattle/Redmond, Bear Creek Parkway, Redmond, WA, USA
We have a room block here, for 10 rooms, September 8-10. Please call to reserve however many you'd like. The room block code is MOWD.
This is only 11 minutes away from the venue, and would make Ubering very easy, if that's what you choose!

Please check your invite for your +1!
What will the weather be like?
Welcome to Washington, all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny. During the day, the weather in Seattle should be beautiful, averaging 75-80 degrees, but will get chilly at night. Please bring some warm layers for the evening, we don't want anyone freezing their bu...well you get the point. ;)
Where should I park?
There is a complimentary valet service at the front of the lodge who will be happy to park your car!
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes, and easily accessible from all areas of the Lodge.
What should I wear?
Please see our Schedule for the dress code.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony is outdoors under a gazebo, but our reception will be inside.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
Whatever you feel most comfortable in! There is a garden with rocks and dirt, so if you're wearing stilettos, you may want to steer clear and admire from a distance.

We would love to see photos that you take during the reception and cocktail hour, but please refrain from photos during the ceremony.
