Story

It was the summer of 1972 when these two young lovebirds first met.
They married 17 February 1974 incredibly having their first of 4 children born just over a month later (he was 8 months premature obviously!)

Fast forward 50 years.....
These two are still going strong, happy and healthy with a love, bond and friendship straight out of a fairy tale.
The respect they show towards each other and the love they share is what we all strive for and use as the example of true love.

Since they're Wedding in 1974 was so rushed we want to throw them a real wedding of their dreams, shared with all their nearest and dearest.

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids, so please reach out.

What will the weather be like?

Welcome to Tauranga NZ all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny. During the day, the weather in Tauranga should be beautiful, averaging 22 - 30 degrees, but will get a little chilly at night. Please bring some warm layers for the evening, we don't want anyone freezing their bu...well you get the point. ;)

Where should I park?

There is plenty of free parking near the entrance of the venue

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately our venue has no access ramp and a couple of stairs to negotiate.
There is limited seating available for those in need at the ceremony

What should I wear?

Please see our Schedule for the dress code.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but our reception will be in a function room

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. There are a bunch of grassy/dirt areas that you might have to walk in so wear chunky heels or sandals. Can't have any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them on our app Joy.
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.
